Most people here use a photo hosting site like photobucket then they can easily put the link or image code into a thread, we do have some info in the FAQ section that will help you with that. It is so endearing when we hear that a grey did the picking and not the owner, usually means a good match and it certainly looks that way with Charlie.

Hello Rierie and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. BTW, what is his name? Greys are amazing creatures as you are finding out and they want to be part of the flock and they consider us part of that flock so they want to be where the family is. You will learn a lot from reading thru the many threads, we have many on the very topics you mentioned like potty training and making your own playstands or gyms. Do a search to find them and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If you have any other pictures besides the one in your avatar you would like to share with us we would love to see him.

Some of the members here have gotten some good deals on cages on ebay, you might try that and see what they have available, remember it needs to be big enough for them to fully open their wings and flap without touching the sides. May I say you are a nice looking chap from your avatar.B) :cheer:

Hello Adam and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this new grey you want. This is an exciting time in your life, you are about to pick out a baby that will be a lifetime committment and one not to be taken lightly. You have it great that you can spend some time every day with your new baby, most of us didn't have that option but this will go a long ways toward bonding with your baby grey. Have you ever had a grey before? Have you ever had any other parrots before? We like to get some info to help us to get to know you a little better. Please do read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We would love to see some pictures of your baby when you decide which one, we love to look at the babies.

It could be Pat but if you are used to using "step up" for the command for all your other birds then I think Gizmo will get used to it easier than you using a different one just for him. He will catch on quick when he sees your other birds step up for that command, besides it is leaving old habits behind from his previous home, he is in yours now and he will adjust. Let us know how it goes with him Pat.:cheer:

I too am sorry I missed you Yvette but you will be back soon I'm sure. Heres to Mom!!

Hello and welcome to the family, mrbeaque2000. If you have a lot of questions then why don't you tell us some more about your grey, how old it is, how long you have had it, where did you get it, name and so forth so we can get to know you and your grey better.

Congrats on your baby girl grey, Fred and the only thing I can tell you is if you are spending a lot of time holding her she may come to expect that from now on. In other words continue with this if you can keep this up from now on, they get used to the personal attention and then sometime down the road you cannot provide that much time and attention then she may develop behavior or plucking problems. But if this is part of your regular everyday routine then by all means enjoy it, some of our member's greys won't allow that much close touching or cuddling and she may not always love it herself. Some greys that were real cuddlers as babies grow out of it and become more independent so don't be surprised if she becomes a little less cuddley as time goes on. It sounds like she is bonding with you nicely but not with your wife. Greys can have different relationships with each person in a household and do pick favorites and she has chosen you. I look forward to seeing some pictures of Maggie Blaine when you get around to it.

Aww Ralph, Spencer is adorable but then all the grey babies are, you are one proud papa too from the pictures, thanks for sharing them with us and yes the wait can be like forever.

Thanks for sharing a pic of Ash with us, he is a good looking fella if I do say so myself. BTW, love that signature:laugh:
-
Thanks pat for sharing the wonderful pictures of Gizmo, he is one handsome fella and glad to hear he is progressing along nicely with your help.
-
Nuts, no nuts here:laugh: yes you are in good company, we are all somewhat nuts about our greys and other parrots we have, you are going to fit in nicely.
-
Glad to hear that Ash is settling in very well so far, look forward to seeing some pictures when you can manage it, thanks for letting us know.

I agree Erika, it might cause confusion on Tigger's part to see him again, you are doing so well with him I would hate to see him take a few steps back. Some day he will be that excited to see you and your family like he was for his old dad so he should do him a favor and not visit with him again anytime soon, my opinion of course.

Hello Crzy4Greys and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your 3 greys. You are so fortunate to have 3 greys to share your life with and I commend you for taking 2 of them as rescues. Even though they are pluckers you are working with them and hopefully they will stop that behavior or at least slow it down. You do have your hands full with 3 but you seem to enjoy them and I know they bring a lot of joy into your life. You certainly came to the right place looking for similar people for we are all nuts for our greys and we understand each other, only other bird lovers know how we really feel, you know it takes one to know one. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We would love to see some pictures of all of your birds, even Goober, the sun conure, I have a sun too, if you would share some with us.

Yep that is definitely a young grey, I can tell from the dark eyes, has Buddy been DNA'd a male? He is a good looking grey and thanks for sharing a pic with us, now that you finally have it figured out you can share some more, maybe more recent ones.:cheer:
-
Yes I add it after cooking and I add about 1/4 teaspoon and mix it up real good.
-
Way to go Pat, you go girl, Gizmo is no match for you Pat, congrats on making headway with him, karma coming your way. B)

Very nice shots of Adaya and her paper, she is having a lot of fun with it, thanks for sharing them with us.

I have to agree with Caroline, 6 year old children shouldn't be handling greys, they tend to be loud and fast moving which tends to make greys nervous and then they bite, better to let her grow up some and then slowly introduce them again. She may not be afraid of Tui but she is making her nervous and I would hate for her to suffer a bite that would leave a scar.

""The palm oil has a high anti oxident value & is an excellant source of beta carotenes which is converted in to vitamin A. It can improve feather condition, allowing new feathers to grow in strong & glossy, it also has been suggested that it aids some greys to decrease the need to pluck. It aids in breeding, and generally promotes overall good health."" I too feed oatmeal almost every day with the palm oil in it and you can add other things to it, I don't have to add pellets for Josey eats them fine just like they are.
