Coffee

That might be better.. It's the caffeine that's the problem.. I think..
5. Hi. I think this is the way they try and clear their ears when their stuffed up. Much like we do when we swallow hard on an airplane.
6. spookyhurst wrote: Ahh Spookyhurst.. So very very happy you are here with us. This forum continues to gain some wonderful additions to its' already outstanding membership base. Ever hear a proud owner of a new puppy say "look at his paws, he's gonna be big" Ceasar is also one of these "big cag's" He has been known to tip the scale at over 500 grams. These days he has been around 480-485.. Here he is.. Look at the size of his head.. This is one of my favorites of him.
9. Good info Caspersmum. I will be caving in soon..
10. HeatherStrella wrote: YES, this new photo is much better from a composition standpoint. To make the tail in focus in the other photo you actually needed to focus on the tail and choose an F stop like F8 or 11 to cause the rest of the lizard to then be in focus.. Understand? I can't wait to see more of your photos.. You have a good eye for composition. The photo you made for Talon's Birthday wishes was beautiful. Solid colors would be better for you. No need to thank me.. In fact I need to thank you. Because of your contributions to this thread it is a success...

Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/05/13 17:53
11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSEY... Hey, wait a minute.. I know that Avatar...
12. TIME OUT.. .I have to say something here.. First off THANK YOU.. EVERYONE.. you have made me and my friends from that "other" forum feel VERY WELCOMED.. This thread has been accepted by everyone and that means lot to me. I have to clear the air here for a second and then I am gonna move on and never reference that "other" forum again for as long as I am here.. It's not fair to all you guys that have no idea what I am taking about for me to constantly reference "the other" forum So here's the story.. On the other Grey forum I was getting lots of questions from members about how I was "setting" my camera for some of the photos of Ceasar that I was posting. These constant questions led me to start "The Members Photography Thread" over there. This thread was one of the MOST POPULAR threads that site has ever seen. It grew to over 130 posts in just a couple of weeks. We had lots of folks talking about taking photos of their Greys and lots of folks posting photos there. One day, a nasty remark was posted by one of the forum moderators to the effect that "this is not a photography forum" basically saying he didn't want any more photos posted. Needless to say I got my Italian temper at a fever pitch and pulled all my photos. Next thing I knew I was banned.. That ban was later lifted when all my friends on the forum get pissed and started to post messages to the forum owner. The bottom line was I didn't feel the same going back to that forum anymore and needed to find another home.. I FOUND YOU GUYS.. and you know what? All my friends from that other forum came here. and are still coming. So there is a "happy ever after" ending to this sad story. What was the issue with that other site and photos? To this day I can not figure that out. I think the bottom line was that the other MALE moderator and I just didn't click.. That's too bad because if you can't get along with me you are one miserable person.
13. HeatherStrella wrote: It is a good capture. I think if the lizard was coming toward the camera instead of slightly away it might have worked better. Also the narrow depth of field you used caused his tail to blur. It is unusual to see a blur "before" the subject. Ideally you would want the first thing your eye sees to be in focus. This compounds the problem of him going "away" from the camera. The first thing I see his is blurry tail... I'm thinking this is perhaps what you are concerned about.. yes?
14. Talon wrote: Something about how this software handles photo files that is causing that Talon. You have to first save the file to your computer. Then you can see the data.. I have to see if there is a work around for this..
15. Happy Mothers Day to you to Talon.. And a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO.. Yes everyone, it's Talon's birthday today. Lets make this her best birthday ever.. At least from the birthday wishes perspective.
16. FairY wrote: Hi FariY. According to my Vet they can get overweight pretty easily. I think its a diet of mostly sunflower seeds that can cause the problem.
17. Yeah, I think its the calcium that's good.
18. I agree, I also think it's really odd that Ceasar eats meatballs on Sundays.. Yeah I'm Italian.. B)
19. Hey, this is a good idea for a thread.. Good job Talon.. OK, I'll play.. Ceaser loves Special K.. He also eats honey nut cheerios.. I'm gonna try the Cream Of Wheat.. I didn't think of that.. Also, next time I am at the supermarket I am gonna get those mini wheats. Might be a good treat.. Anyone try those? Caesar has a hand full of cereal every night. Believe it or not, I use water too. He seems to like it better. Hey that reminds me.. You ever heard of putting cheerios on ice cream at night.. Someone close to me recommended it to me just tonight. It funny you should bring up cereals.. I think cheerios on ice cream might me something to try.. Don't you Talon?

Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/05/13 04:42
20. Yeah, you're right. I am going to vegas.. I have to play second fiddle to Jon Bon Jovi as we are sitting near the front for his concert there. I can see it now. Anna all hot and bothered watching this $400,000,000 man shake his .....well you know what I mean.. Did I tell you the last time we went to a Bon Jovi affair it was his 45th birthday party. It was at his brothers place in Sea Bright NJ... Just 30 minutes from where I live.. Gee isn't that special.. anyway, I had the honor of BUYING 2 of his worn shirts.. Do you know I got lucky that night.. I mean not really but at least Anna made the most of HIS CLOTHES... She SLEPT in them.. Don't anyone want to offer up some relief to this old man.. How do you spell R E L I E F.. Oh yeah, I remember now.. Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/05/13 04:09

Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/05/13 04:09
21. I think it might be better to keep the bird away from the child at least until the child is a bit older. Your son doesn't really understand the bird and I know the bird doesn't understand that when your son reaches to touch him he doesn't mean to hurt him. I would not want to see your sons finger bit. At that age the Grey can do some damage. I had this problem with my Yellow Nape. When my daughters were born I had to keep the bird away from my daughters. My Yellow nape was never the same after that.
22. OK, for those of you that downloaded opanda's software referenced in the above post you will now be able to right click on this image and see all the camera details. Let me know if you have any problems.. Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/05/13 02:46

Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/05/13 02:50
23. Sure, In the future I'll post the EXIF info with the photos.. How's that? If you have a specific image you want info on give me the file name and I'll get the EXIF To help those that don't know what EXIF is please go to www.opanda.com and download the Basic FREE version of this software. When installed, it allows you to right click on any photo and choose EXIF from the right click menu. This will then show you all the setting the photographer used to get the photo.. I was wondering why the EXIF info had been stripped from the images I posted. I found the reason and you might want to make a note of this. If you use Photoshop CS2 with Imageready and "save for web" with imageready, the EXIF info is stripped out of the file. From now on I will not use this save method so full EXIF will be visible.
