Very nice photo, Knight05. You should stick it in its own thread so more people will see it. It's a very nice photo and deserves to be seen.

LOL on the dog...

Harrison did the same thing...maybe not as bad, but she stopped once her wings grew out...she had a bad clip too.

Harrison having fun and scaring me
HeatherStrella replied to HeatherStrella's topic in Photography & Video Room
Thank you all...this is the most fun I've seen Harrison have...it's cool -
Awww what a cutie!! Very nice photo.

Oh ya...Harrison's favorite is yogurt. She goes nutso for it. She will fly over and totally get in my face to get some. If I put some in/on her bowl, she'll bite the spoon before I can even get it to the bowl. She 'begs' for most anything I eat, though.

Harrison just loves the swing hanging from the ceiling...she loves the ball hanging from the swing too...she likes to hang from the ball...it scares the heck out of me...

Yes, that one and one from outside. Thank you!

OMG I want another one. Darn it...if I wasn't married...ahh never mind...lol. I can't imagine what my house would be like if I wasn't married. I would have lots of parrots, for sure! Such a cute picture!

Johnny wrote: I felt the same way...then I read about the south beach diet...it was the first diet I ever tried and it's been so easy...I don't feel deprived and I made a couple decisions that have made it easier. I decided I would continue to have half-n-half in my coffee...I don't drink much, but if I do, it has half-n-half in it. I also decided I would use my regular Best Foods mayo when I ate artichokes. I have my mayo with a little artichokes every couple weeks. YUMMMY!! My husband is the cook in the family, which helps A LOT. If it was left up to me, I probably wouldn't eat as much due to laziness...and with this kind of diet, you gotta eat to lose weight. I feel like I look so much better and my knees don't hurt anymore either...I really thought it was going to be hard to lose the weight cuz I used to eat anything and everything and not gain a pound. I quit smoking and that all changed. But, now I don't smoke and I'm almost to my goal weight...what more could a girl ask for...lol

I quit smoking 5 years ago. I used the Wellbutrin at first but didn't like the side effects and got off of it soon after I started. I also went through a class at Kaiser (my health insurance) where the facilitator told me when I was going to have my last smoke. I seem to do better when I have someone making the big decisions for me...lol. I started chewing the nicotine guy but it hurt my jaw so I switched to the lozenges...I've been sucking on them ever since. I gained 30-40 pounds over the last 5 years but in the last 10 weeks, I've lost 25 on the South Beach Diet. I've always been tall and thin...I was able to eat whatever I wanted without gaining weight...then I quit smoking and suddenly twinkies were no longer my friend. Anyway, good luck to those of you who recently quit...it does get easier...I say that with a lozenge in my mouth...I think the cravings would be gone if I wasn't still sucking on them....once I'm at my goal weight, I'll think about quitting the lozenges. Perhaps you should talk to your vet first, but my vet suggested...well actually prescribed Red Palm Oil. It helps with dry itchy skin...I would imagine it would help with molting too. I've been using it on Harrison and she's really looking great...I don't see her having any itching problems or anything like that...since being on the RPO, her wings have grown back beautifully...the first vet we went to butchered her wings when they clipped them. It took 2 years for them to grow back...she's only been on the RPO for about 8-10 months.

I stopped putting CAG in my salads after I realized how hard it was to get the little red feathers out of my teeth. The grey ones aren't too bad, but the red ones...grrrrr.

Harrison's stand is very sturdy..I do use newspaper for the bottom and it does clean up easily. It all comes apart for easy cleaning too. Harrison can ruin a perfectly good hair day with one flap of her wings (lol) so I know what you mean...on her stand, though, the bottom part is far enough away that it doesn't cause the papers to fly all over the place. Johnny, thanks for the wonderful compliment

I ordered it from Doctors Foster and Smith...it came in pieces and my hubby put it together...it was really easy, I could have done it. Here's a link to a page of different ones...they're having a big sale, looks like. Good luck!! http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/pet_supplies.cfm?c=5059+5107 This one looks like it would be just as good as the one I have except you'd have to put it on a table. Harrison rarely uses the whole stand...she does every once in a while, but she would have been just as happy with this one, I think. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=5059+5107+14389&pcatid=14389

Harrison was especially sweet today...I don't know why, but hey, I'm not complaining. She was very playful, silly, talkative, and she was cuddly too. I just wanted to gobble her up...couldn't do that so I snapped some photos. lol. We hung one of her spare swings above her stand in the living room and she was having a ball...today is like the 3rd or 4th day the swing has been up. I know it needs to be trimmed...and cleaned. The photos would be better if the swing looked better but oh well. And...I FINALLy got some photos of her flying...these are the first ever photos of her flying. She's a super pilot. I hope you enjoyed the photos

OMG these pictures are to die for. I wish I had pics of Harrison at that age...I wish I saw her at that age. Dan, that's a large clutch...I thought there were only like 2-3 eggs at a time...no? Mama must have been busy!! And fertile. Here are some young pictures of Harrison awww ittle bittle baby...

She looks so sweet...like butter would melt in her mouth. Adorable...she looks like she wants to cuddle...I wish Harrison was more like that. I'm saying that as I type with a nipped finger...grrrr:silly:

2girls, that's cool...do you sign? I'll bet he's proud to be deaf. Most deaf people don't see it as a disability...it's more like a race...I know that sounds weird, but deaf culture is very different as you probably know.

I have a similar thing Harrison loves it...

The first vet we used butchered Harrison too. I didn't know it at the time, though. At the next well visit, they went to look at her wings and they were all chewed up...they told me I'd better change something because I had a bird at the beginning stages of feather plucking...I was devistated!! Well, we took her to a different vet...they looked at her wings and told us (this is 8-10 months after the butcher job by the 1st vet) that she was chewing her wings because when she folded her wings in, they were poking her sides because "someone" clipped her wings badly. She was poking her sides and it was irritating her...the vet suggested red palm oil and did some other things not related to her wings. The red palm oil really helped, I think. Anyway, her wings are grown all the way in now and she flies beautifully. It took 2 years for her wings to grow back. But, I think the reason it took so long is she kept breaking them...one would grow in, she'd have one flight feather and she'd go to fly and it would break. Some how she was able to grow some in all at the same time so that she didn't have that problem of the lone feather breaking when she'd fly. I would highly suggest using red palm oil, several members use it. If you need help with the dosing, that's no problem. It's good for their feathers, skin, and it helps dander.

can we enter more than one photo of different animals?
