Hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful day! My son and his wife blessed me with the wonderful news that they are having a baby, my very first grand baby!!! I have so much to be thankful for, today and always.

Sugar is not good for birds, nor are nutmeg and cinnamon, unless its ceylon cinnamon. Vanilla isn't good for them, either, as they're made using vodka, rum or other alcoholic beverage.

He's so handsome! Do your grey and zons get along? One of my greys, Maalik, torments my Panama Amazon, Harley. Takes over the top of his cage all the time, forcing Harley onto another cage top. He's fine with my other 2 greys. It's only the Zon that he loves to bully.

Having had a similar experience with my Pineapple GCC I, too, know what it's like to have a bird fly out. Fortunately for us both our littles were found. You have a very funny, but sweet relationship with your baby. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading about Greycie and your other fids over the years.

The current prices for Greys is astronomical. I paid $1500 for Maalik in 2013. Sydney was a rescue that we acquired for free and Finn was also $1500, which is what his previous owner had paid for him. Finn was only a baby when we acquired him. I often worry about the potential for them being stolen due to their current street value.

I give a small amount to my birds daily. It's vitamin A, which our greys especially need.

Hi Russ, Unfortunately much of the info on tracing leg bands is disappearing, making it harder to track down breeders. The number on his band is likely the breeder's ID number for your bird.

Your puppy is adorable. Congrats! White GSD's tend to be more sensitive and reserved. I've only had black and reds, but do have first hand experience with the whites through my volunteer work at our local GS rescue. Their dispositions are lovely!
