Greytness

I had to leave the one FB page I know you were also a member of srseedburners. I couldn't bear reading about how some people were caring for their greys. Made me SO upset and anxious for those precious birds. Many times the advice was marginal at best

Tis the season for our fids to begin their molts. At least mine are beginning to. Those fine floofies are quite normal to see. Bumping up on her spritzer, or actual baths, will help a bit.

Honey isn't good for them, either. Natural sugars as are found in fruits and veggies are the only sugars they should be getting.

Hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful day! My son and his wife blessed me with the wonderful news that they are having a baby, my very first grand baby!!! I have so much to be thankful for, today and always.

Sugar is not good for birds, nor are nutmeg and cinnamon, unless its ceylon cinnamon. Vanilla isn't good for them, either, as they're made using vodka, rum or other alcoholic beverage.

He's so handsome! Do your grey and zons get along? One of my greys, Maalik, torments my Panama Amazon, Harley. Takes over the top of his cage all the time, forcing Harley onto another cage top. He's fine with my other 2 greys. It's only the Zon that he loves to bully.

Having had a similar experience with my Pineapple GCC I, too, know what it's like to have a bird fly out. Fortunately for us both our littles were found. You have a very funny, but sweet relationship with your baby. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading about Greycie and your other fids over the years.
