Oh you turkeys can laugh all you want to, I think the GreycieMae pulls off the look much better:

Somebirdy rules this roost.

Very sorry to read this. However it's not the first time I've read about a bird that was off, then seemed to get better, even back to normal and then is gone. These wonderful beings are so fragile sometimes.

There's a link I go to make homemade skeeter traps and he has this link indicating if you're not so inclined to make one, buy one of these. Guaranteed to work - he says. http://preview.tinyurl.com/zxmgkmy

Very common. She's cute. We have a wild flock of those here in Dallas near White Rock Lake. Not native, they seemed to have started from a group of escapees. Picture of the group close to where I work and ride (from their facebook page) -

You have to be more one-track minded in stopping her. Over time she will stop. You've had her since Tuesday, give it a couple or more weeks but you must be persistent. One "Ok I'll let you sit up there" will backtrack to near starting over. -
oh boy.... I've seen these and know it will be right up GreycieMae's must have list.

We use a giant drum fan to keep the bugs at bay. With a mister in front of it, it allows us to keep the birds out in 100+ Texas heat. Skeeters (and flys) don't like moving air. And GreycieMae is yet to be convinced that this thing isn't going to kill her.

I'm no parrot trainer, but I'd try laying an arm on the cage and seeing if she would step up onto the arm or step over the arm to the other side to get a treat. Make sure your arm is vertical to your person...don't make it to where she'll get trapped between you and your arm.

We had coffee out on the back porch and served up their breakfast this morning as the sun was rising. Only birds we heard were the wild ones making racket. All was quiet for about 20 minutes in the aviary while beaks were getting stuffed. They even laid aside their feuds long enough to inventory and pack it in.

Mandate from onhigh is to get good birdfood for the summer so the birdy brats can outdoor aviary all day. So i found this, seems to be high quality stuff, but isnt dirt cheap. I mixed-n-matched four different varieties. Three cookables and one ready serve. 10lbs Ultimate Blend 5lb Asian Buffet 5lb Primo Bean 5lb Pasta Salad Buffet 25lbs of food $97.43. Free shipping and I applied a 20% off coupon. That comes out to $3.89/lb. My reference is $9/lb which is what I normally would have ordered from SproutPeople.org. Chainsaw for reference - 25lbs of delish!

So based on your comment - I disabled the blocking of popups and turned off adblocker and some other stuff. On FF, absolutely nothing happens when I click on the drop-down item. I'm too lazy to throw it in debug right now. My IE is wide open for ads, popups and malicious whatever as I don't use it except for dev work and all I get is a blank page. An HTML document is returned but not rendering. ^ What browser are you using? edit - so a quick debug on FF indicates a javascript error 'unexpected value parsing ViewBox attr'. IE is a lot more forgiving for crappy coding and it still won't render on my version. I normally wouldn't give a rip but I'm on orders to get the birdies some good food and have been given license to spend with wild abandon. This stuff seems worth a try, if I could order it.

Their website is seriously broken. I can only get so far using IE and Firefox. Haven't tried Chrome yet. Not sure how you buy anything from them with a busted portal. Looks very interesting though.

Everyone's situation is different but my Grey has been trying relentlessly to let her sleep on the ceiling fan mount above our bed. That's where she would prefer to sleep - with us. However wife won't let it be so I have to move Greycie to the birdroom every night. Your Grey would probably prefer to sleep with the flock, and that's probably you. Also, I have noticed that Greycie will be quiet when I'm laying down trying to sleep, even in the middle of the day if I just came back from a long training ride or just feel like crap and am laying down...she'll be quiet as a mouse. I've heard of other's Grey that do the same thing here on the forums. They're very sensitive to what we're doing. My Caique on the other hand, will sit there and screech his damned head off if he's feeling like it.

Loved the video. Ife is definitely on her way to becoming a spoiled rotten Diva just like Megan. I can see it in her body language.

You go Timber. That foraging ball needs a good beat down. I love how Greys try to be tough thugs. They're just too cute to really pull it off.

Greycie will get down in the kitchen sink if I put ice and water in it. Which reminds me, my Caique prefers the tap water trickling in the bathroom sink. He's not a fan of ice water. Rio our Jardines prefers a good garden hose soaking...go figure. -
Clear cut example of someone who was just looking to be offended. Went back and reread my post, can you imagine if Dave or one of the long timers here would have responded to her! Laters Ftwit!!!

I use Dr F&S all the time. However I only shop their sale and clearance items and even then I shoot for the lower priced items. It gets too pricey otherwise. Size - I will usually read the description and especially the comments section to see what birds people are buying the toy for. I just stay away from stuff that I know is too large as I have Grey down to Caique sized birds. Every toy I buy one of the three will use it although I've noticed tendencies among the three. My Caique likes stuff he can dangle from and practice his Caiquey-Jiu-Jitsu, like leather straps with toys tied to them, danglies etc. GreycieMae and my Jardines love wood items to destroy but the wood can't be too thick (or too thin as they'll destroy before I can close their cage door). They like straw toys too. My Jardines absolute favorite toy in the whole world is this: Takes some trial and error before you find what they will like. I wouldn't stockpile just yet till you figure out what she likes.

It's a Grey thing. Most of them prefer ice in their bath water. Not sure about other species inclinations. Our Jardines and less so our Caique will use ice baths but probably only because they've observed the Queeny enjoying hers, and she won't share which means they have to have it too. -

I use the shower head...came with the house <harr harr>. Seriously though, I can't get her nice and 'showered' as good as she can on her own in a pan of ice water. When I try to bathe her, she won't open up her feathers so she gets a good soaking. When she does it herself, it's spa day and she comes out looking like a drowned rat. -
I've tried this method. It usually turns into "GreycieMae....give me that back *bleepty-bleep*...Greycie STOP...Greycie let go of the damn scissors...stop throwing on the floor...who's idea was this..."

2 months old is awful young. Do you know how to feed them at that age? Your picture isn't big enough to see what's going on there but it doesn't look normal to me. Maybe it's just the way baby is hold that one wing.
