LOL That was one of my first questions when I brought Timber home! I thought he was plucking when I saw the white stuff.

Woohoo! I weighed Timber (TAG) last night (using the cheese lure) and he has gained 4 grams after two weeks, putting him up to a whopping 275 grams. I'm so pleased to see him in the "normal" range, even if just barely!

Timber's main area of "clumsiness" is getting his nails caught in things. That is something they don't deal with as much in the wild. Rugs, grills etc. are natural "nail catchers." When they are in the cage, their wings (that they use for balance in the wild) hit the cage sides, bars etc. What I'm trying to say is that the things we have in our house aren't their natural habitat, hence the "clumsiness." Hope that made sense, but it's already been said by others on this thread anyway!

Funny! I'm such a creature of habit myself that I've often thought that is why Timber and I get along as well as we do. I wonder how many other grey parronts are the same?

Ah, I get it. Hubby went for a one hour CT scan that ran into 4 hours last week. They were supposed to give him something to drink beforehand and didn't so he had to drink it there. Then the machine was tied up, blah, blah, blah indeed!

^^Amen! I'm so sorry to hear about Whitney's condition. On the other hand, you have had your baby about four months if I'm correct? I have had my rehomed TAG for a little over 3 months and I am so attached to him that I couldn't part with him if he had no wings and no balance. I can understand how disappointed and upset you are, and as Jayd said it is a decision that must be yours alone.
