Timber will usually only eat fresh veggies if they are on his skewer (metal rod that hangs). I'm not sure why, but if I hang it where he can reach it from a perch, I can tell he has picked at it some. Just an idea for you. Also, I'm sure you have read about adding veggies to "chop." There is a thread on that. Good luck!
Happy 5th month hatchday to Kizzy She is really beautiful. I don't know anything about babies, but was wondering if she is picking things up from a guy? Timber uses different pithces when he talks, depending on who he learned the word from.
Love the pics! She's such a pretty girl. That food looks great too. My hubby is always pulling stuff out of the fridge and saying "can I eat this or is it the bird's??" Ha. Thanks for the pics and the update.
I imagine it is a challenge. When I see a 'too, my first thought is always "my what a big beak you have." Considering the damage Timber (TAG) can do with his much smaller beak, that's something to think about!
LOL Sassy really didn't know what to make of that! Leo was appeared to be watching her reaction. Since we can't interpret the whistles, maybe she told him it wasn't beak-worthy
Timber pulled a new one out of his hat over the weekend. Hubby was playing a little game with him (he is the "playmate"). Long story, but it involved a plastic comb. At any rate, Gary pulled the comb away before Timber was ready and Timber said "hey, now!" Progress from the last time, when he said "asshole."
I'm a novice, so I don't have any knowledge to contribute on your gender thoughts. I think background does have a lot to do with their "gender" preference from the stories I've read from other forum members. On the other hand, my rehomed TAG prefers my son or myself (one male, one female) over the others he is exposed to. I assume that means he wasn't mistreated by either gender in his past so it eliminates gender preference based on experience.
