As many of you know, I recently adopted a Ruby. Well, I have been thinking, (dangerous) I am going to be friends with this bird if its the last thing that I do. He has spent most of the day inside his cage, and door open. He comes out late this evening in hoping to get a bite of my dinner. I gave him a bit of my broccoli, he says wanna bit, so I gave him another. He says mmmm. I offered him my arm to step up and he declined. I had an extra perch near by, I said that might work. So he stepped on the perch and quickly ran to my arm. I didn't panic, but I could have crapped my pants. He just sat on my arm. I took him to another room, away from the cage and we sat in the floor he explored the room, but coming back to me without striking. I went back to the dinning room where his cage is. He showed no interest in going back. So I sat down at the table with him on my arm. I rested it on the table, He sat very still, and so did I. Then he just laid his head on my chest and I started petting him. I am so happy, and I am starting to feel that he loves me.
Prince was watching every move I made with this other man, and he didn't want to do anything with me. He pouted with me, lunged at me, and wouldn't give me my nite nite kiss. What do you do with a jealous birdie?
