Thanks guys and thanks Judy Gram! we let her out in the afternoon round about 2-3ish and shes goes in about 6-7ish, her favourite treat are them peanuts. she either flys to the cage cause she gets hungry and when she gets in the cage, we shut the doors, and today out of know where my boyfriend put his hand out and she climped onto it, but she sat on the top of the cage for a while, then she went back in on her own, we also have a budgie and cockatiel that are in cages, i think she often look and listens to them lol.

Coral&Andrew replied to Codys Mom's topic in Cages & Homes

We are on about getting branches for her cage, we can only get hold of white vinegar can we just use this, or what else can we use instead of Hydrogen Peroxide?

sorry to hear about your flea problem, my 2 cats awhile back at my mums caught fleas there absolutely annoying and frustrating to get rid off, good sprays should do the trick also frontline, and make sure you hoover the carpets and proper scrub them, they get into all your furniture, and fleas love hot weather, ive been told thats when they mostly hatch.

As you all may know we have a parrot called Georgia, her last owner named her Georgia, and because shes learned to say her name, we have kept it. shes a year and a half we have had her since thursday affternoon who we got off the internet, because the owner was ill and couldn't look after her anymore, so thats where we took her on (: we bought her and the cage for £500 Shes a good girl, she says Georgia and Come On georgia from what her last owner learnt her, and today shes started saying Come On Dodger - the name of our kitten and making a meow noise like a cat were so proud of her hehe she can somtimes bite us, but i guess every African Grey is like that, and she is not very tamed, but a few days ago she came on mine and my boyfriends hand, out of know where, and today when she was back on the sofa, my boyfriend put his hand and she just stepped onto it, so i guess its her mood, sometimes she will climb on, other times she backs away and wants to bite lol, we have never heard her scream or anything like that. we let her out the cage every affternoon and shes always out on the curtain pole for like 5hours lol she says different words, and whistles and makes different tunes shes so adorable were going to get her some new toys at the weekend, we like this toy that she will have fun chewing and plucking, and a large ladder she can climb down from her cage, she doesnt really bother with the toys she has but i guess its cause shes still settling in, we bought her a nice wooden perch with a spinning thing at the end, she loves to sit on that, were gonna try and get her all different sorts of wooden branches for her cage, and make a play stand with a plastic base, and different branches coming out with toys hanging off, ive seen some on here you guys have made and there really good! ill have to post pictures on here when we finally get the bits and peices we need and its finished has anyone got any good tips? Well thought i tell you guys about Georgia (:

we have got a african grey her names Georgia and shes and year and a half, well yesterday we let her out at about 1 in the afternoon and she came back in her cage on her own about 4 to get some food, well at 10 last night she was at bottom of cage scratching her foot on the sandsheets and trying to stick her beak out, well i assumed it meant she wanted to come out ( just looked it up and i was right lol) so we let her out and i thought give her few hours and she will get hungry or thirsty, so we let her out at 10 and it was 3 in the morning when i finally managed to get her back in basically she was falling asleep on top of her cage, but when i went to get her to step up she kept constantly trying to bite me so in the end after 5 hours i got a glove on and luckly she just went back in the cage, we have only had 2 and half days she isnt really tamed even though she randomly went on mine and my boyfriends hand, and then when we started to get her back onto our hand to put her away thats when she started biting, we have had a busy day today but we have been with her mostly all day talking to her shes said some words, but we havent let her out cause she was naughty yesterday by biting and not going back in, its now 11 at night and shes at bottom of cage telling us she wants to get her out, problem is were in bed and its gonna be like last night again where she isnt gonna go back till early hours of the morning. we were on about taking her out her cage like every affternoon and not night time if anyone has got any help on taming her, getting her not to bite and trust us, it would help alot Thanks!
