Why do some people have just one parrot ?? Why do some people have more than one parrot ?? Why do some people have more than one species of parrots ?? There are different levels of MBS 1. One parrot = parrot lover, Only your friends believe your nuts. 2. Two parrots of the same species or not = you may be coming down with something. 3. Three parrots of the same or different species = Start packing your bags for a trip to the funny farm. 4. Four to six parrots = You are thinking of buying the funny farm. 5. Six to eight parrots = you already own the funny farm. 6. Nine to eleven parrots = you hold the mortgage to the funny farm. 7 Twelve to fourteen parrots = You hold the mortgage to more than one funny farm. 8. Fifteen to eighteen parrots = the State has taken over your estate for your own good. 9. Nineteen to twenty parrots = Your family has you committed. 10. Over twenty parrots = You become a parrot rescue. Can you find your spot on that list ?? Do more than just family members think you are nuts ?? When it comes down to it do you have A WILL that will take care of your parrots when you pass. If you took the time to read this than you have it. Have you ever gone to the store with parrot poop on your shoulder ?? Do you spend more time cooking for your parrot than for your family ?? Do you clean your Parrots cage better than you clean your house ?? Dose your parrots have more toys than your kids ?? If you have MBS than you belong on this forum.

One of then fun things to do when you have a amazon and a grey is see how differently they each look at and see life. Its like seeing a jester and a professor with feathers. I think we know who is who.

Hi Austin and welcome to the grey forum. The first questions I have is how long have you had him and what is his name. They are very smart , but the one thing you must learn to do is think in grey time. Give your new companion time to settle in. He is in a new home with a new person and dose not know what has just happen. Spend as much time as you can with him, talk, read, sing and just see what will relax him. I believe in a soft voice, a gentle touch and you being there. Take the time and read a thread called "Gilbert is home". It will give you some good insight on rehoming an older bird and the time it could take. Good luck with your companion. P.S. I just noticed his name.

We did not pick our grey, She picked us. The very first time she saw us she ran up the wife`s arm and pooped on her shoulder.

Give your new companion time to settle in as every thing is new to him, people, new home and routine. As you get more information about your grey you can make any changes that are necessary along with lots of toys to keep him busy
