  7. Great video and that must be a new way to exit the cage.
  8. Hi turzzock and flock and welcome to the grey forum. Good looking bunch you have there. If you check we have a great amazon room also that has a sticky thread and list of the honored amazons of the grey forum and you and Sonny have been added.
  9. Colliope will be added to the list of honored Amazons of the grey forums. Great looking zon. We have 37 amazons members, 34 care givers and 12 amazon species. The list is in the amazon sticky post.
  10. All so check with pet stores as some one might go to a pet store that sells birds to find out what kind she is. Many pet stores around us have a bulletin board for lost pets and for sale pets. A picture on the poster would also help. GOOD LUCK.
  11. Taking a walk and enjoying the all outdoors with your fur and feathered friends is great. It`s a bonding thing that will last a lifetime.
  12. Willie here; Me and Little One, and Flightless and Jenner would get our own blade on the fan and we would flap our wings real fast and make it go fast. I miss that because they all flew to the Rainbow bride.
  13. I have had many cockatiels over my many years and a good share of them were rehomes, Some from good homes and some from not so good homes. They are small birds with big attitudes and sharp beaks. If they came from a bad home and not socialized, abused they than can tear you up big time. All parrots if not treated right or abused can give you a bite you will not forget soon. I have the scars to prove it and they came from some of the smaller birds. Big or small, they can and do bite.
  14. Yep, the forbidden stuff. If it`s forbidden that`s the place they want to be.
  15. OH Yah those cockatiels can give you a full size parrot bite and they can be little stinkers, but a well soc1alized cockatiel can be and are the sweetest little parrots. I have had them for over 40 years and love them to death.
  16. A great place to live in spite of our politicians.
  17. I have read that a amazon bite is the one you don`t want because they also tear as they bite. I can not say this is true because Cricket to this date has never bitten me. When I was researching amazons parrots before I brought Cricket home the caution was never let a amazon on your shoulder or near your face because of their bite. Corky can give you a good nip or bite if you piss her off but Cricket just kind of takes things as they come and put her head down for a scratch before she even thinks of biting. Cricket in her old home did some real damage to people that needed medical attention so I know she is capable of real damage.
  18. Some parrots love them and some not so much. None of mine will use them so I took them out. I would say buy one and see if Phoenix likes them before you buy more than one.
  19. Dan as a young man back in the late 50`s and early 60`s I had 2-60 A.C. two windows down and 60 mph.
  20. Welcome home Duke and Duchess, You were missed.
  21. 1. Amazon are known to be among the most proficient talking birds. 2. Chances are if you ever heard a talking parrot on T.V., That bird was an amazon parrot !! In fact other types of parrots have been "beak-synced" on T.V. programs when it was actually an amazon parrot voice that was being heard !! 3. The moat notable instance of this was on Animal Planet`s Puppy Bowl program in 2009. An African Grey Parrot named Pepper was purported to sing the National Anthem to kick off the game, but in actuality, Pepper was just mouthing along to a recording of a Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot named Boozle !!!
