Most of you will know me and my girlfriend bought two baby greys both out of the same nest (about 13 weeks old now). I've got Rambo he lives with me an louise as Elvis lives with her. Both totally different birds both getting on well and settling in well. We both have had a lot to do with these birds from early day. Has you know we visited them a couple of times before they came home. Right to the question. When I visit Louise, Elvis flys to me and want to play with me pushing louise out a bit. But when Louise comes to my house Rambo go's mad for Louise and pushers me out a little. It's not serious they still like there owners very much but just seem very keen to see the person they have not seen for a bit. Does it actually mean anything ?

Yes Judy Rambo as no choice but to go places with me, nearly everyday. If he didnt he would always be on his own. He's dont seem to mind either. He just loves attention.
-
This one's good too.
-
As anyone used or seen the kings cage carrier. I think I'm buying the small one.
-
I'd soon swap you Judy. Can't imagine anyone wanting to visit the Uk and defo not going in the pubs. May be that's just me. I'd love one day to finally step into the USA. Still time I don't think Rambo will be coming with me lol.

Well I spoke too soon. After elvis visited Saturday night Rambo as started flying to the mirror. He's only interested in the mirror. He will even fly from the living room through the kitchen to get to the play room where his cage is and the big mirror on the wall. He sits on the tv and taps the mirror. (That's pretty impressive for a young bird but not good for our relationship). Anyway there mirrors gone. Left a big gap on my wall. Will I be able to put this back ????

Some great pictures there but still not made my mind up yet.

Hiya guys this may seem a really daft question but as u know we have 2 baby greys Rambo and Elvis, mambo is doin really well and seems very advanced to Elvis even tho there same age which I know is normal but I've noticed Elvis is struggling to use his feet he won't hold food in them and trips over his own feet when stepping up,they are extremely huge compared to rambos feet is this normal??

Can anyone give me a bit of advice for a Grey travel carrier. Wants to be safe and comfortable, but small and easy to take in and out of the car. Rambo comes to work everyday and we call and see my mum on the way to work. Works only a couple of miles from home and he as a nice cage there when he lands. Ive looked a pak-o-bird, wingabago plus the kings small travel cage. Its got to be available in the UK. Any ideas ? what do you use ? pictures would be nice. Thanks Chris

Sounds great tweadle but I don't think I'll get Rambo to sit and watch them.
-
Thanks for the replys. I'm not going to put one in his cage. The big mirror in the room where he lives seems to be ok. He seems to pay no attention to it. All seems to be well with Rambo. Settling in well.
-
Can anyone answer this. What the truth about mirrors. In the room where Rambo lives, there is a big mirror on the wall. He can see him self. Anyone good bad makes no difference ??????

Rambos had a day of work today. Sorting another cage out for my office so he does not get mested with too much and both him and me can chill out. I'm trying to socialize him as much as possible but he is already not keen on my son. Rambo constantly flys to me an wants cuddling. I personally love that after all the trouble vie had in the past with greys, I'm finally bonding with one but I do feel for my son a little. I do try and leave them alone but Rambo can be a bit boisterous and my son can't mange him.
-
Well Rambos been at work today. I think it was a little stressful for him. He either was a sleep or going mad for a cuddle. I cuddled him an settled him as much as possible but was glad for the day to Finnish so we could get home. A bigger cage in my office before he goes back to work. So he's going to be home alone for a few days.

I want to get plenty of photos. But I'm so biz as a new dad. Lol. We was a little worried about Elvis last night and his eating. So as a good dad would I was up at 5am watching him eat. Lol. I think both me and Lou will sleep a lot better tonight.

What a mad hectic weekend. These two birds are so demanding. They have wanted so much attention and cuddling. Elvis even though he's the oldest of the two (only by days). He's the really baby, so soft and cuddle. Rambo he's very forward, he was very shy and laid back at the breeds home but came alive when we got him home. He's real naughty love chewing my fingers but playfull with it. Already rolls in a towel. He great fun but watch your fingers lol. Tonight they have settle in there own homes. Elvis as gone home with Lou and Rambo is here with me. It's much easier with just one. Two birds is too much like having to human babies.

Morning. Todays the day. We are fetching Elvis and Rambo home today. Everyones so excited. Never seen my girlfriend so giddy. I'm sure Elvis will be spoiled. Rambo well he will be with me in the gym so a colourfull life he's going to have. lol

Was a great read and nice pictures. Thanks you for taking the time.

That's sorted. Got my money back. So it looks like Rambo's is just a regular african grey parrot cage.
-
Can't believe it the cage is faulty. The nuts are set in the frame. They just turn when you try and screw in the bolts. Not happy got some right running about tomorrow. I think I would like my money back.

Ive got loads of photo's just trying to work my way round how to post them. So here we go. Baby Rambo (That may change, see what my son says lol) Ive just bought the biggest cage, i want Rambo to have plenty of room when he's at home. Ill post pics of that too.

Thanks Judy. We have had a great day today with our babies. I'll post some pics when I get to a computer. We are just looking round at food and treats. Dave I've had a good look round the forum about a harness but I can't find any information on when to introduce it to the bird. We get our birds next saturday all been well.
-
Thank you once again Dave. Sorry to be a pain. I'm pretty full of information now. Can't wait to go see the babies again tomorrow. I'll report back. May even get picture.
-
Thanks for that Dave i will be sure to check out the advance search. Can i ask another question ? In the Parrots bill of rights on this site. it say's please don't leave me for any time, i will never recover. Can someone please expand on this for me. I know parrots are a big commitment but there will be occasions when i cant be there. Like in a few weeks time I'm away Saturday till Sunday evening. I have a baby sitter lined up and we will go stop with them. Is this a No No ? Thanks Chris

I'm pretty happy now. Ive read loads and your replies have been most helpfull. Going to get the silly idea of another Mccaw out of my head. I love Mccaws, but they are just too big for me to take everywhere with me. Is there any threads on grey forum about water bottles and bird harness. Thanks Chris
