  1. Stevie as landed, no problems for me. Stevie as bonded to me straight away. I can do as I please with him. But sadly my partner isn't having the same luck. Stevie as bit her and she now is a little wary. So some bridges to billed there.
  2. Thanks Ray. Why do we do it ??? lol
  3. Well we have another new member. Stevie the Moluccan cockatoo will be joining us this weekend. Stevie is seven and needed a new home. Loverly bird, so funny and full of life. Me and him made friends straight away. No issues at all so far. So that's four birds we have between us and don't forget Lloyd our dog.
  4. I've had all the kings travel cages. I kept the small one. Rambo travels in it every day. Is the medium one big enough as a holiday weekend cage. My opinion is No.
  5. Thanks everyone. So nice of you all. Good news Rambo spoke his first word last night "HELLO" yipee and Lucy is making the HELLO sound lo. Did I mention my girlfriend is looking at a moluccan cockatoo, he's 7 years old and needs a new home. Ill keep you posted on that one..

  8. I can't think of anything he's had or bitten. It's a mystery to me. He's never left alone out. I hope this don't turn out to be a tumour I know the vet don't think so but it was him that brought the word tumour up.
  9. I'm going to pick Rambo back up in a little while. The vet as had Rambo to sleep and found a white line under his tongue. He thinks its a hot or chemical burn, but i don't remember Rambo getting near anything to bite. A tumor was mentioned but he really don't think thats what it is. So its a cause off drugs and when i can spell them later ill tell you which ones. Return appointment in a month.
  10. Well people this beak scratching as not gone away. Rambo's had a few different simple solutions tried with no luck. Today Rambo is in for a full check up under anesthetic and may be a X-ray. See what the end of the day brings. (Apart from another big bill. lol)
  11. This may sound wrong. But what's your tips on getting Lucy to sit and play when shes out. Yes it's loverly that Lucy wants to sit with daddy all the time but it does mean she can't be out as much as i would like. Tips please ?????
  12. Well pots off. Lucy as all clear no further appointments. She is fine and getting about fine. I think a couple of days and she will never know anythings changed. I'm so glad it's over put it don't half look funny. Don't tell her I said that.
  13. I never thought of a ice scrapper. Good idea. The steam yes I am looking it to.
  14. She's still doing really well. The vets happy after her two day check up and it's a long ten days for the pot to be removed. I must say though Lucy is getting around on her pot really well and seems in good spirits.
  15. Its a resin pot so she cant take it off. It will be on for ten days and then she will have to go to sleep again so the vet can saw it off. Yes she is leaving it alone at the min and its not causing her two much trouble. I think she is showing me thats she is a really special bird and thats why we came together bad toe or not.
  16. Lucy after her operation. So cuddle. Her pot. Everybody writes there name on there pot.
  17. Right we are through hopfully the worsted bit. She as a large pot on to protected the stitches. It's not easy for her to get about on. All we have done since she came home is lay and cuddle. I'll post some new pics tommorow.
  18. It's the day tomorrow. Booked in a 8am I'm so worried about her. Is it the right thing will she pull through. Spoke to the vet again today. He's says 100% she will be much better with out it.
  19. Thank you everybody. Don't you just love Grey-forum so many great friendly caring people.
  20. Well the vet was very thorougher gave old Rambo a proper check over. They really do know how to handle these birds. He thinks Rambo is in very good condition, about the right weight and size. He thinks is tongue is a little swollen, he may have had a little cut or something. At this moment in time he does not want to give him anything as medicines have there own problems and side effects. He wants to see what nature does and see Rambo next week.
  21. I don't weigh my birds but i can tell his crop is not as full and is appetite is down. He's book in the vets tomorrow 9.30. I'm at the vets that much i have my own car park. lol
