  1. haha, so he's a he. sorry! honestly, every picture I look at of another Grey, I am always amazed because they look nearly identical to my little girl. =)
  2. Hi Shanlung, thanks for making a thread here on the Tink Harness! I'm glad everyone here can take a look. cheers mate
  3. This week I will attempt to make Shanlung's very own harness. I also recommend reading up on his Tinkerbell/Riamfada blog if you haven't heard of it. http://theafricangreyparrot.com/forum/index.php/topic,5782.0.html
  4. hey, so awesome you got Issac back!

I was just watching your Tribute video again, it's really great the way Issac acts around you.

It makes me pretty jealous. My little girl Sylvee just turned 5 months old and sometimes I worry about her disposition. She doesn't seem to want to play much with me, but is always trying to get to me and loves just sitting on me anywhere. She is quite content to just sit on my shoulder and do nothing but stare.

When did Issac get into his playful stage? Do you think he's that active because he was never clipped?

My girl was clipped early after fledging. She flies to me a few times a day from her cage with great accuracy now, it's been 2 months since I have had her.

You think I'm worrying about nothing and soon she will come into her own? =)

    take care

  5. hey look at us! we're all from Virginia *thumbs up*
  6. lol, that is Kim's grey Judy. she has a little feather on her head like Alfie. haha ;D
  7. haha! yeah i recognize the feather on top now lol, I love your avatar too.. they are so funny when they look like that
  8. hi and welcome. I had the same worries as you before I got my baby grey 2 months ago. I only had to deal with 2 days worth of small bites before she became lovey with me and now she never wants to leave me. she is only almost 5 months old now, and she tolerates my family holding her every other week. doesn't make tons of loud noises, doesnt make huge messes with her food and takes all new activities, people and exciting events very easily. she is nothing at all liked I feared she would be. I believe that this has to do with the way she was raised. i got her from a very nice parrot store that breeds their own, was handled everyday, spray bathed everyday and given playtime in a playground everyday. depending on how yours was raised I think may form her personality a bit. don't worry about your new baby! i believe it will be a joy for you and your family and just coming here at all shows that you will be dedicated to the new little one. Really, try and not worry so much, it'll be greyt. =)

    stepping up !!

I love it. She's way more active when running to you than my Sylvee is, I'm so jealous. LOL
  19. Hi! Like you, I had wanted a Grey for years, and only recently have been able to bring one into my home. I also had never seen one in person (small town, not a lot of bird stores), and was somewhat intimidated the first time I saw the Greys at the breeder and how they reacted to me, and that was 8 hours away! It was a sobering experience.. I took some bites the first 2 days, but after that the past month has been smooth sailing. My little girl and I have been getting along great and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. =)
  20. Hi and welcome. I'm still very new here (had my new CAG for 1 month now). Here is where I bought my little girl parrotville.com They are located in Brunswick, OH. It was an 8 hour drive for me from Virginia. Very, very worth it. If I were to buy another parrot in the future, I would consider them again. Pat has many kinds of parrots and the shop is great.. birds get daily baths and handling, are weaned excellently on a variety of foods, lots of out-of-cage time during the day in the play area. Good luck in finding your Grey. Mine has been an angel in the last month. =) edit: I would like to add that it tooke me 2 months of talking to different breeders around my state to come to the decision on choosing parrotville. I'lm so glad I picked them.
