IF the rust is confined to the tray only and your baby has no access to it, you can paint it with Rustrolium or Krylon child safe paint. Sand clean touch up with paint rinse with cold water and let air dry till there is no odor...

DON'T use warmth, the gland is like a nipple, allow to ooze, it's suppose to. Try bloting with cool water and get to vet. No heat!!!!!!!!!![like Wingy said if she'll let you] Maggie , contact Dave007...............................

Greetings..Joe here...I hope Babe and Papa have not read this...ugh! Hehehe...but I am going to snitch on Spock...When Babe and Papa were out of the room, Spock would fly to the fan and land on one of the blades. While holding on, he would flap his wings and hang on tight while it spinned around....he had a wild look in his eyes...Salsa would egg him on and go "WhooHoo"! If Papa or Babe started back into the room, he would take off and they would shake their head and say "Why is the fan spinning?"....hehehehe....Logical? Hmmm...Suicidal... (As a side note, the fan had been disconnected)

Look with in yourself to find the strength needed.......Start fresh with clear mind, have fears but don't share them with Sassy, time time time, it will happen.

Hi...what might help is to work on the baby's diet...ZuPreem Fruit Blend/VeggieBlend - there is scientific evidence that might support the theory that the additive food coloring might cause potential problems. The Nut Blend is great...you might also want to try ZuPreem Natural or Harrison's. Sunflower seeds - These should be limited to approximately three tablespoons a day, given as a treat, not as a meal. Kaytee Exact - A lot of people prefer Volkman's or Royal Safflower Seed Mix (No sunflower seeds). This should be kept in the cage 24/7. Peanuts should only be given as No Salt/Roasted human grade and be limited to just a couple a day as a treat. Walnuts - One Walnut, almond, (no salt) pistachios can be given daily. No avian collar is needed at this time...Here is where the problem lies...your baby needs an assortment of these items daily: 1. Dark, leafy green vegetables such as Dandelion greens, Carrot tops, Kale, Bok Choy, Collard Greens, Sugar Snap Peas in the pod, Zucchini, etc. 2. Beta-carotene vegetables such as fresh carrots (raw or lightly steamed), sweet potatoes, squash, butternut squash, peppers, etc. Sweet potatoes can be steamed or boiled and served warm or cold. 3. Cooked legumes: Pinto beans, black beans, black-eyed peas, garbanzo beans (only once or twice a week) (No sodium or added sugar) 4. Walnuts, almonds: These supply EFA's (Essential Fatty Acids) 5. Pastas and Brown Rice: pasta is raw or cooked...brown rice must always be cooked. 6. Proteins: Extra hard-boiled eggs (pre-scrubbed with white vinegar before cooking) served shell and all once or twice a week. A chicken wing bone or drumstick bone (cooked) with most of the meat gone served once or twice a week. Salmon or canned no-sodium albacore tuna once or twice a week. Scrambled eggs cooked in virgin olive oil once a week. 7. Miscellaneous: Red Palm Oil 8. Fruit: very little served since Greys do not need too much fruit. A chunk of apple, a grape, a chunk of orange, etc. every other day... Everything should be served fresh..if it is canned or frozen, it must be rinsed and have low to no sodium. No added salt or sugar... I am sure that we forgot something ...LOL...Dave007 is a true expert on plucking...maybe he will chime in. Thank you, Jayd and Maggie Has your baby been checked by a vet? When you said "Always falling down", do you mean the feathers or your Grey?

Here's some post on how a lot of members feel about "Hand Feeding" http://www.greyforums.net/forums/showthread.php?189414-*A-Plea-to-all-Members*-Hand-feeding... -
What you say is true, and thank you very much, I know Spock would thank you too.....

ROFLOL Jeff and Nancy...wish I was a fly on the wall for those moments...Salsa loves to sing along to Pandora, especially John Denver...although her favorite sounds (Besides having a sympathy asthma attack whenever Jay or I start coughing) is to start sobbing the moment she flies over and takes a nip out of our necks...Not funny at that moment but she does crack us up... You, Greywings and a few others are one of the few people Jay and I know who we'd trust with one of our rescues, even as your first Grey. Sorry I'm not in a laughing mood with a post so close to home. Thank you...................... -

Hi...first of all, go to the store and pick up some chamomile tea...brew yourself a cup and sit next to the cage, drinking it slowly and talking in a low voice calmly to Alfie...He was probably over-excited and gave you a nip, playing at which time you over-reacted...giving him the reaction that you liked it...Think Terrible Twos...Alfie is going through the stage in which he is trying to establish his independence and to test the limits and push the boundaries and test your mettle...Give it time...this will pass...we have gone through so many of these "Terrible Two" periods and lived to tell about it...Does he have a special treat? If you can find one, do NOT give it to him except at bed-time...put it in his cage as a reward for going to bed...try to be consistent about bed times too...Calmness is the biggest thing...give him some alone time and yourself too so you can both come back to each other in a Calmer state of mind...Maggie

Check with Snowflake...she dances real good and she is on the net and everything! I don't dance but I can sing...maybe we can get together and you can dance and I can sing....oooohhh...got to go! Hola everybody…Salsa here…I just wanted to tell you about the new treats that Mama got me…she calls them “peppers” but I just call them good!!! They come in all kinds of colors but I like the little red ones the best cause red is my favorite color and I always go for the red ones first. The big green ones taste good too…Poppa calls them “jalapenos” and cries when Joe eats them and spits the seeds in his face …hahahaha! Poppa is so funny…I just cry along too! What a fun new game… sometimes I get a big yellow one and I like it too… When mama cleans out the cages, she puts these strange white things on her hands first before she touches our leftovers. I don’t know why…they were so good I share with her but she just says no thank you… hmmm, I just don’t know why she doesn’t like them too…oh well, more for us…oooohh, oooohh, here she comes with more…bye… Greetings all, Joe here…Salsa can be bought off so cheaply…just throw her some food and she is gone faster than a warp drive shuttle… I do have to admit though, that now that I have discovered the wide range of wonderful food offerings being offered, I really enjoy my food now…even those “peppers”. I tried to mind-meld with Poppa while eating one the other day but he did not enjoy the experience…I might have to think that one through for a while …Last night, Babe was running very late with our dinner because Poppa had to go to the vet and they got home late. Babe made us veggies, brown rice and pasta…I took one taste and…bleeech…:mad:I tossed that plate on the floor…I thought we were getting eggs! I gave her a dirty look and turned my back…That’s when I saw the plate on the counter with eggs…I flew over but I misjudged my landing and I landed on the plate…Oh no! The plate fell off the counter and there I went again…flying over to Poppa who kept me safe from that mean plate! Babe fixed a new plate and I settled for the rice and veggies although I let her know I was not pleased with it! When I was done, I shoved away the plate, climbed down to my little table next to my cage, shoved away Poppa’s water glass and bent over to grab my pistachios out of my jar they keep there for me! What a disappointing dinner…wait, what is that smell? Okay…I will settle for a bite of pizza bread crust…got to go…mmmm…good….

Hola my amigos and amigas...where is everybody??? I feel kinda lonely here...No one to talk to...Joe's stuck up, Tango doesn't like me to bother her, can't play with the Cockatiels, Conures, or Pistachio (the IRN) and Rolo the dog is no fun...he doesn't care if I poop on him. So come on everybody...let's fiesta!!!!! Greetings...Joe here...Salsa has gone off the deep end again...if I only had a cork! She goes on like this day after day after day...I can't find her shut off switch. I get tired saying "Salsa, shut up" every day...it leaves no time to regenerate my brain cells through meditation. Telepathy is not a problem...it is the telekinetic process that I need to develop. Then I can apply my own cork...from a distance...hehehehee!!!!!
