  1. Ever so sweet, loving them for who they are unconditionally, what a wonderful thing!
  2. Deep breath and lets start over, allow Rio some space and choices in what he does. Punishment is not the answer you are loosing his trust rather than earning it. Please read about Gilbert she has her own thread that has been growing as her trust grows I think it may give you some valuable insight into how a grey processes our behavior and it will definitely give you direction to build that necessary trust. Go slow don't push.
  3. A late Christmas greeting to all from Texas.
  4. An adventure in moving, hoping for a Christmas truce.
  5. Our flock would point out that judgement is for human behavior not theirs.
  6. Welcome and what a lovely little bird with a greyt name!
  7. From reading what you have written not only is your son expressing hostility but the "demon" has seen and heard you correct his attitude, perhaps she is backing up your correction with her own response. I love your approach Katana, good work getting everyone on the same page. Pretty fortunate here most of the family either interacts with them or ignores them so very little negativity, just hubby shows his trepidation once in a while,( learned response ).
  8. I tell you those Grey aliens are here to study us and are collecting DNA and RNA for their studies of our species.
  9. Oh dear so sorry hear that both himself and his feeling got damaged, Too's are just the most contrary creatures sometimes and it takes us some deep thinking to discover the source of their angst. Big band aid for Pat he may survive the hormonal crazies she is feeling, you are right she is a Big White bird.
  10. Give a variety or natural branches that have a large end and a very narrow portion. My flock enjoys having a choice and they move around often even steal each others cages on occasion. We even have one Grey who is part bat as she often sleeps upside down hanging from the roof of her cage. Just offer one new perch or platform at a time so she is not overwhelmed by the strange new things.
  11. Good to hear from you again and happy you are both doing well!
  12. Pappillon I see, one of our Greys the TAG loves pulling that long hair between dog toes, tail and behind the ears. Wonderful toy score you did well.
  13. Living on the edge of the sky, scary world out there.
  14. Welcome among us, glad to hears your patience and willingness to learn are matching Charlies' good job and a good beginning for you both.
  15. Absolutely just as a conditioning exercise for their mental health (and yours).
  16. It may be that your bird could have a yeast or bacterial infection on his skin, but before doing anything please just follow the advice you have been given so far. Lets see how he does with out the supplements as they can cause some serious issues with your birds health.
  17. I love the set up you have created, poor Ixta darn wooden things.
  18. The writings were from my friend Anna in New Mexico, she is very special in her work to provide the best lives for all the birds she comes in contact with. No credit to me other than having some wonderful friends and contacts.
  19. She is truly one of a kind, in a good way.
  20. Looking good, the budgies are like a pastel rainbow of birds they have such a grand time interacting and fly so very well. at the Sanctuary I volunteer at we have the Tiels and keets together in an aviary that is about 15' by 6' outside by the pond under a willow tree.Always busy birds chattering and playing.
  21. Your photo has the illusion of being a painting, very cool and happy to hear how brave miss Ixta is being.
  22. I would suggest not giving the supplements, if he is getting fresh fruits & veggies along with his seed mix that should be sufficient.
  23. I have concerns for the interactions between the two dogs as well.
  24. Both you and Gil girl are resilient, hope there are more good days to share with your Mom than bad ones.
