I think it's ok as long as your bird understands and listens to you when you ask to: Step up, Step down, as well as he should have to follow the rules of NO nibbling, playing with jewelry, clothes, ears etc. I allow Dalia on my shoulder, She is there as I type this... Only because she listens and follows through when I ask her to step up. Also follows the "rules". She knows she is not supposed to be playing with my earing or ear etc but, she breaks the rules once in while. She is then taken down from my shoulder and placed in my lap or on her playstand. So It really is up to you though and has a lot to do with wether or not you feel comfortable having your Grey there. B) Cristen

I have to say that when I watched the video I was in shock at first as I was expecting a VERY LOUD noise and heard this little chirp instead. I think the fact that this chirp annoys you that bad and the fact that your poor birdie is plucking his little feathers out is a sign that maybe you should be asking yourself: Am I really cut out to be a bird owner. You should be on this wonderful forum asking for help about why does my grey pluck?? As it is not a good thing at all and shows you that something is lacking in the diet or he is suffering somehow mentally. I agree that your grey should get out of that cage more for longer periods and from the video angle the cage you have does not look very big at all....I could be wrong about the cage?? When I get home I am going to show you a video of My Grey Dalia and how she sounds... amongst all of my other fids... Maybe then you will appreciate the little chirp that your grey makes and will realize that, that is what bird do they sing, chirp, and learn new sounds all of the time. Sorry if this offends you or anyone but this post really upsets me.

I like Flat top cages with the Playtop. I think Playtops are GreYt. If you go with no playtop I still think that flat top cages are better. More space and places to hang toys and place perches. Cristen

Yes It is well made for sure. And she was only it in a couple hours. She was safe and secure in there. Luckily it was spring time so not too hot and not too cold. Cristen

Wow thats GreYt news! :laugh: I almost cried in front of Many Strangers when I picked up Dalia my Cag and Connor the GCC at the airport.... It was a very good day!! Make sure and share some pictures when you can everyone would LOVE to see you new baby!!

Very nice! Looks like your Fid is havin fun!! I actually am quite lucky as we have a elderly couple just out of town and little ways that makes toys quite like these and they are VERY reasonably priced. Usually the biggest one and its BIG is $15.00... Dalia loves them... So does Connor my Conure.
