I'm happy for you that you got to scratch Kookie, that is great progress! I know how great it feels for them to put their head down for a scratch. My moms CAG doesn't like me at all and always tries to bite me but when he put his head down for a scratch one day I was so0 happy and now he lets me scratch his head all the time now but thats it.

Hahaha maybe you should nickname her Miss attitude! lol She sure does sound like a character! I would just keep putting her back to her cage to try to stop that behavior.

Pat, Shady is so cute perching all by himself, he looks so proud! I actually started 2 times a day today because he has been eating the fruits and veggies and also some pellets. He doesn't seem hungry anymore at lunch, so I thought I would try it today and he did great. Look at how my baby fell asleep today! hahahaha I thought it was soooo cute so I quietly opened the cage and had to take a pic and share! Isn't he adorable?! GorgASS: He is in his regular cage, my breeder told me to put him in the cage because he started to climb around and that is building his muscles. I removed the grate and put a towel underneath the newspaper in case he does fall. The perch is also really low to the floor and he climbs on it all by himself. How old is your baby? If 8 weeks or older I would put him in the cage so he can get stronger. Like you said how is he going to learn? lol

Hey Steph! Congrats on your new baby!! I am so happy to hear that you got another baby! I think its cool that we both have babies around the same age, mine is also 8 weeks old (hatch date Feb 2nd) and I am handing feeding him too. I just brought him home 2 days ago and boy is he such a joy! I just love him to death and can't take my eyes off of him! In the first day of being with me he climbed onto his perch for the first time, it was so cute lol. My baby sometimes growls too, he was growing at a green pellet on the floor, and he growled at me because I took him off his perch because I thought he was stuck. Maybe yours is just getting used to you. So do you have any pictures of your new baby? And have you thought of any names? My boyfriend and I can't decide on any names yet, its soo hard! Hi Kipsie! I live in West Palm Beach FL too! I just got a baby grey from a great breeder that lives in Jupiter Farms, but she doesn't have any more at the moment. I talk to her all the time so I will let you know if any of her pairs have another clutch. The grey in Largo does sound pretty cheap, how old is it? And it is from a pet store? My name is Caitlin by the way and I am 20 years old. Its nice to meet someone that lives near me! How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Have you been looking for a job so you can get your grey? lol They are great pets and are such a joy to have!

My baby perched for the first time today! It was sooo cute! I watching him trying so hard to get up on the perch and he finally got on! I am so proud of him. Now he won't stay off the perch. He still struggles to get on but he is getting better and better. Of course I had to take a pic of this and a video lol. Hello and welcome to the forum! Bonek is still getting use to you and it will take some time for him to trust you completely. He may not even trust you at all, some greys can be one person birds and he may only like your wife. All it takes is time and patience. Good luck and enjoy the site
