Oh man Pepper has been SO playful lately and is learning how to perch. He spent about 3 hours on my shoulder LOL hes too cute. I love visiting him! Everytime I visit him it makes it harder to leave. He was being so playful today I loved it. AND he fell asleep on my chest it was just too cute. He fell asleep right after I sprayed him with some water haha. He was a little playful last night. He wasn't too whiny either! He was going after my buttons and my necklace :] the lady who works there was saying he's been going after her necklace too haha

haha!! even though i JUST met him last fri and just bought him fri..... well put money down on him haha ive just fallen in love! they definitely do get sick of it (: thats why its nice to come here and hopefully you all dont get sick of it:laugh:

thanks so much for the advice, everyone. we pretty much plan on trying to socialize it as much as we can. hopefully everything works out!! yea i really cant wait to bring him home!! haha im constantly talking about him to others. im sure they get sick of hearin git.

hopefully i dont sound stupid..or ask an over asked question! okay, i havent brought my first african grey home yet as he is a baby still (just incase you dont know. 2 months old) so in the mean time i'm trying to learn as much as i can. Pepper(our baby) is a congo african grey, and i've heard from many people / read that congos can especially become attached to one person. I've heard that it doesnt matter whether its a timneh or congo they both have a tendency to do so. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to try to get around that happening? Some advice would be helpful, thank you!

yeah, it might be more than 2 months.. we dont know but its so well worth the wait plus if we wait until he's weaned, it's better to learn more about him adn having him eating normal food instead of being hand fed. so his/her name is officially Pepper. we went to visit him again today and got to feed him, it was cool. im getting better at feeding him haha

yeah it is hard picking a name. tui is a cute name . i dunno he could end up being called pepper i do like that name. this hans macaw at the pet store is the cutest thing his name is kiki i like that name. he gets jealous when we bring out our baby african grey so he starts talking a lot.

Yeah, im sure it'll go by quicker than I think. in the mean time im taking the time to read up on them, because i wanna raise it the right way. its so weird i went from being super afraid of birds, and thinking their annoying to idk having a little respect for them haha. i absolutely adore them, esp greys. cant WAIT to bring him/her home. going to see him again tomorrowwww!

we dont know of a name yet! still thinking haha. we got to feed him today. i spent about 3 -4 hours(possibly more) in total with him today. awe.:blush:

sorry for all the posting but he is only 8 weeks (two months) so it makes sense he wont be 16 weeks for another 2 months anyways for him to get weaned

i really dont think i can go 4 months without taking it home, honestly. im trying for 2 months at the most im gonna make sure our home and everythings ready for him.

well, regardless we still need a couple months to pay from him. hes around $1,100 plus gotta get a cage, food and toys we wanna have everything for him:)
