he's such a sweetheart lol he BEGS to get out of his cage in the morning sometimes.. just to be cuddled with, because as soon as I take him out he wants to go under the blankets with me

Is how cuddly he is. Constantly likes to cuddle on your chest under a blanket. He does it with me, my boyfriend, my dad, and my mom. I love it!!! Whats one of your favorite things about your bird?

Pepper LOVES to sit on our bakers rack, where he becomes very territorial, lol. But anyways he attacks this black object shaped like a ball on the backers rack. He throws a temper tantrum at it, yells at it, flaps his wings, and talks a bunch of gibberish. It's hilarious:lol:

omg ok i looked the ingredients up online, they're not toxic to birds. but i just found out he didnt eat the pills! lol he crushed them up around my room tho. i guess he knew they werent food thank god

Ok. We let the bird out this morning and we were watching him but we accidentally fell asleep. So I found a pack of AZO yeast pills that were empty, and i dont know if he ate them all. Hes doing fine now, and I noticed it about an hour ago.... but is this bad ?? I cant get ahold of anyone like a vet so I dont know. this was an honest mistake tho. i feel so bad

"human" food daily. I guess I've been doing it a lot lately and he loves it! lol hes had steak, shrimp, chef boyardee, etc. But my bf is worried its not good for him. He does eat his regular birdy food too we have that in his cage and an extra bowl for out of his cage

any pet to me is a family member. whether its a bird, a dog, a cat, etc. you dont just get rid of family members

Ha ha. My boyfriend is a fan of the band "Rage Against The Machine" so he had me play him a song and we noticed yesterday that Pepper would sit there and listen to it. He gets really interested. And now im playing it again and hes getting excited lol he keeps talking and trying to come closer to my laptop playing the music. He turns his head in funny ways too He loves the song "Bulls on Parade" b y them. Its so funny to watch edit- oh and we moved his cage around. he has more space now. he seems to like it a lot more his old cage placement: new cage placement: i dont know what we were thinking b efore. well i had my comp desk over there but we completely re arranged some stuff to get more space<br><br>Post edited by: Brittany, at: 2008/12/29 17:20

Hah thats cute he says "Papa" My bird is about 4 1/2 months old and already talks too. We've heard a bunch of whislting random noises, but he says "Hello" "GOod Boy" and other things but I cant make it out clearly which im sure he'll get better at.

I hope so. He's bit a few of us but none of it is "Im mad/mean im going to bite you" it's all been "im scared" "i dont feel secure" or "im trying to step up" biting

Not so far, no. He lets everyone in the house handle him. He just especially likes me and my boyfriend, doesn't seem to prefer one or the other though.

haha he only spends like 3 - 4 hours if that in his cage during the day well of course he sleeps in it at night tho. but he just doesnt ever wanna be in ther.e he wanted to fall asleep with me last night. he kept curling up next to me and my boyfriend several times last night awee. but of course you cant let him do that so we put himin the cage after letting him have cuddle time:laugh:

yeah i figured it should be ok was more curious about the hair straightener cuz sometimes it smells like fire and stuff. i didnt know if thatd be ok

is it ok to use hair straightener and blow dryer and in the same room as my greY??? it might be a silly question i just dont know. let me know thanks:silly:

My baby african grey came home last night!!!!!!:laugh: I wrote about him awhile back in the nursery. after 2 1/2 months of waiting he's finally home. he was freaking out last night bc he was stressed im sure but after we gave him some love and comforted him he's good now i think:) about 2 weeks ago he was heard talking at the pet store but he hadnt yet talked to me and my boyfriend but today he actually said "Hello" and some other gibberish. hes a fun bird w/ lots of personality and i think it has to do with the fact that we've spent so much time visiting him everyday

thanks everyone!! we bought him a toy (its at the pet store with him) today and bought him a cage. we are now down to owing $575 for him as well. we got this cage for $100. hes making a lot of whistling noises lately haha
