GYRFALCON (falco rusticolus) The beautiful Gyrfalcon is the world's largest falcon - with a wingspan in excess of 5ft. Nocturnal birds of prey are called?
2. Congratulations on your baby girl, Pogo! Now, where are those pictures!!!!!{Feel-good-000200A1}
3. Hi Viktor, I have a 5 month old Timneh so I don't have a lot of experience to share. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to the family. I do believe that you need to build trust with Paco before anything else comes. So just be patient. Ask any questions you have and experienced members will help you. Can't wait to see some pictures of Paco, if you have any to share.
4. Penny, it snowed Saturday night so Sunday we had snow on the ground in the morning until noon. This morning, Monday, it was sunny with blue skies, it was in the 60's; mild enough to go for a comfortable walk, sunny with lots of fresh air. The temperature now at 5:30 pm is 42 degrees. I live in Southern Washington so we are use to mild temperatures and any time the sun comes out with no wind its great! I turned off my heat this morning and it is still 65 degrees inside my house. I just appreciate it and enjoy!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/01/27 07:11
5. Hi b-wheeler36, karma to you for re-homing a Timneh grey. Others have given you some great advice. I too have a Timneh so look forward to seeing some pictures of Smokey. I own a 5 month old grey so I can't offer any help with Smokey, except to say that trust is the first and most important thing you and Smokey need to develop. Lastly, I want to welcome you to the family.
6. I went of a walk today, it was so sunny, fresh and beautiful outdoors! Sheila, I hope the specialist helps you with your foot. Good thoughts go out for a speedy resolution. I banged up my knee a few years ago so I know firsthand that anything that hampers getting around easily under your own power is a real bummer!
7. Sunday it snowed here! So walked the treadmill a little. But today it was beautiful and sunny outside so Lily (pug) and I went for a 30 minute walk, it was fresh, bright and beautiful outside! I've ordered a harness for Ana Grey so she can go too!
8. Thanks everyone for your positive feedback! LindaMary, I guess I'm just lucky Ana Grey isn't afraid of anything (probably because she is a baby and doesn't know any better!) and she loves this net! Jen, I got this net at Parrot and Conure World.com. I got the large short and I think it is too big. It weighs 17 lbs. If I were to get another I would go medium. That's just my opinion. They have a lot of sizes. One good thing, they are on sale!
9. Great pictures of KoKo! Ana Grey seems to like the simple things too. Thanks for sharing these pictures with us.
10. Congratulations on finally getting Spencer home! It is always so exciting when we finally get our greys! Can't wait to see some pictures of Spencer now that he is home! So sorry about Dotty's brother-in-law.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/01/26 23:21

muted swan Pigeons and doves constitute the family Columbidae and are related to what extinct bird?
12. Hi Terry, you have come to the right please to find out if you are right for a grey. There is a lot of firsthand information available here. Read through the many threads here and ask all the questions you want and everyone will try to help you if we can. Welcome to the family.
13. Ralph, so sorry about Twinkle's passing. Take comfort in the fact that you gave her a very happy life.
14. I could eat anything I wanted but I ballooned out so much that I floated up to the clouds, never to be seen again!!! I wish I could swim and win an Olympia swimming medal!

16. Just getting the lay of the land. Just checking out the material. And Ana Grey finds everything adequate!
17. Congratulations on surviving your first week as a grey owner! They are such adorable companions. Can't wait to hear whether Pogo is male or female and to hear more about Pogo adjusting to the family. When you get a chance, we would love to see some pictures of your new baby.

19. Dan thanks for sharing Dayo with us. I'm just so glad he is coming around and the trauma is disappearing. He is a sweetheart!
20. So sorry about your naughty grey. Ana Grey is a naughty girl too and likes to chew. I just keep her cage away from the walls. I cover up anything I don't want her to chew on with a towel/sheet or other means to keep her away from them. She loves to chew on dry straw or reed toys. She likes to shred colored plastic straws so I knot some together and she plays away. Judy's idea of giving her a piece of wood that she likes to chew on as her very own sounds like a good idea to me. I also keep Ana with me or in her cage at all times when I leave a room. She has playstands in all the rooms. Wrapping your grey's favorite treat in paper might also help to keep him busy. Good luck with finding a way to keep him otherwise occupied.
21. The color is gorgeous, but at first glance the blur catch my eye and in my opinion detracted from the beauty of the flower.
22. Glad to hear your grey didn't ingest the pills. Birds are so like having toddlers around, you have to watch them constantly! So happy all is well!

turkey What group of birds can fly backwards?
25. I think you made a great decision. I got my Ana Grey when she was fully weaned and we bonded immediately. She was in a new surrounding, without the support of her siblings, just looking for someone to be with and make her feel safe. I was there for her with lots of cuddles, soft words and good food. Just what any baby needs to feel safe and secure and of course to have a full tummy! Morgan is worth waiting for and you can learn oodles each time you visit your baby, and if your breeder is willing possibly even feed your baby on occasion!
