Hi Dawn, welcome to the family. What kind of a grey are you looking for a Congo or a Timneh? They are both remarkable greys, although I am bias toward the Timneh, as I have lovely female named Ana Grey. I commend you for taking the time to learn about greys before purchasing one. It is a lifelong commitment, not to be taken lightly. Please keep us posted on your search as we all love to travel along on the journey of grey ownership.

Dawn, my 6 month old TAG, I've had her for 2 months, loves toys. She is out of her cage most of the day. She loves the playtop of her cage, and likes to sit on her cargo net in front of the window. She loves chewing on a number of her toys. There is a thread about toys here. Please look around the different forums noted at the top of the page. There is an abundance of great information about greys there.

Vicki, I commend you for sharing your story with us. Karma to you. And I understand because I raised 3 kids on my own without any help until they were teenagers and I know you do whatever you have to, to see that they eat, are warm and have a place to sleep. Your baby grey is all the more precious, yes I understand. I waited many, many years to finally get the home, pug and now parrot I have always wanted, so many things had to come first, now it is my time. I know you will enjoy your baby grey as much as I enjoy my 6 month old Ana Grey. I am so very happy for you and your hubby!!! Enjoy, enjoy!!!

Hi aglover, congratulations to you for re-homing an older grey. A cornflake is a little small to be handfeeding, so I wouldn't blame Boo Bird for the bite. Boo Bird has been through a lot but I know with your love and patience you will be greatly rewarded with a loving, warm and marvelous companion. Welcome to the family.

If you are close enough I would certainly check it out. With the economy and all they may just need to sell them quickly. See if they will abide by a return if a baby grey does not get an A-OK from an Avian Vet, in writing. At that price you can easily go to a vet; and who would object if they believe their birds are healthy?

Watching Einstein is always fun to watch. He is so amazing!!
