Shady was probably doing with all young siblings do-- pestering his big sister will oodles of questions. So Tyco was trying to get him to pipe down. How very cute. I can't wait to see how these two get along together. Tyco may be the "nanny" in this scenario just like in the wild. It will be interesting to see.

Annmarie, your choice of an SI Eclectus is a great one. If I were to get a second bird that is what I would love to have. Would you prefer a male or female? Both are so beautiful in color and yet so very different. The choice of parrot is a personal choice so you should get the one that best fits your lifestyle and family. As others have said just an interest in greys is all that is required to be a member of this forum and we do have the other bird room so please stick around, we love all the family and miss them when we don't hear from them!! Please keep us updated on your Eclectus hunt!!!

Azzie what a beautiful vision and story about you and Cleo's cuddle time. It's just wonderful how much they love and trust us to take care of them. Hi Farrah, glad you decided to join the family. Congratulations on your new baby grey. I'm assuming your grey will be fully weaned when she comes home. When I brought my baby home at 4 months she was about the same size she is now. She has filled out but is basically the same size. She has always been in her same cage, 32" x 23" x 37." She is comfortable there. With lots of room to flap her wings and climb all over the place, although she is out of her cage most of the daylight and early evening hours. Please ask all the questions you have and read the information that is in the nursery room, I have always found this forum a valuable place to be. Welcome to the family!!!

My Ana Grey doesn't fly so if I leave the living room and she gets impatient for me to return she glides down to the floor and waddles after me (I have hardwood floors so I can always hear her) When she gets to me she grabs a toe (I never wear shoes in the house). She is not trying to bite me but sometimes it is a little too ambitious. She grabs a toe and climbs up on the top of my foot and either climbs up my pants leg or sits there for me to reach down and offer her a hand. My grey only wants to be with me; without seeing what your grey is doing only you can judge. A video might help. Your little grey is such a sweetheart, I'm so glad he is feeling better.
