Perhaps foraging toys would be ideal for Ziva. There are many kinds some like pinatas made of paper with treats inside to enjoy after the trashing of the toy. Or plastic balls with slots in the sides so the grey can wrestle out the treat inside. And shredding toys made of different fibers, ropes, reeds and straws. Have patience with your sweet grey, they are so worth it!!!

Hi Sindbad, congratulations on your new baby grey. I have an 8-month-old TAG and she is sweet as can be, except sometimes she wants to do what she wants to do. Once Sinbad learns the household routine, it should be easier. I would start the return to the cage earlier to ensure that you are not late to work. It takes time, don't be a softy once you get Sinbad into his cage talk to him gently, tell him you will be back after work. Whatever you do with him, talk to him about it and the trust and comfort will come. Welcome to the family. Can't wait to see some pictures of Sinbad!

Hi Tom, congratulations on your new grey. If your grey has a red tail, then it is a Congo African Grey, if not it is a Timneh African Grey. Your new grey is just a month older than my baby grey. Casper is right, first you must gain your grey's trust. Please don't give up, she is just a baby looking for her new flock to guide her. That's you and your girlfriend. I like her name Lulu. Ana Grey is always a quiet grey. She only makes a fuss after a bath, mumbles a lot and flaps her wings a lot, probably complaining that I have messed up her do. :lol: or when I leave the room, she makes a lot of sounds then, wanting to go with me. When it is sleep time she just goes to her cage so she can have a snack before lights out. She is a mello little girl and I am truly grateful.

When I leave the room I always tell Ana Grey I'll be back and she is quiet. If she does call out, I just ask her what she wants and she is quiet. I think she just wants to know where I am.
