Devin I believe a young man should enjoy his life. Because you care enough to research and learn about greys, lets me know that you will be a great grey companion some day. They do need out of the cage time, at least 4 hours a day, they do sometimes choose only one person to care about, they are intelligent and can have problems if they get upset, some do not like change at all, their cages must be clean and their food must be fresh to prevent illness. If your grey gets sick the avian vet bills can be high. You are the only one who knows your needs and desires in life, do you have the time for a grey who has the needs of a child, do you want to be a parent now? Only you can answer that question. Good luck on your decision because it will be the right one for you.

Ana Grey's main cage is in my office, because I am there most of the time. It's a great place for her because she goes to bed at 9:00 pm and she can have quiet and lights out time there because the room is vacant from 9pm/10am. She also has her travel cage in the living room for company time and her window perch for TV time. Her boing is in the kitchen/dining room so she can help in the preparation of and partake in dinner with the family. I believe your grey should be fine!!

Ana Grey came to me clipped. It breaks my heart that she can't fly because she tries to all the time. She and I are both waiting impatiently for the day her new flight feathers come in. I prefer birds flighted, but try to respect others choices because nothing in life is set in stone and circumstances can always change.

Wow Ziva is a very smart little lady who knows when its time for her to get her beauty sleep!!! Ana Grey just climbs into her cage and up to her sleep perch. I don't cover her cage so she then is good to go!!!

You are so fed up with all the litter in the streets that you go to the City Council and demand an ordinance be passed that forbids the dropping of litter in the street. The offense of which would carry a fine of $1000 per piece of litter to be paid by the culprit dropper. The whole town is so mad at you that they all gather together all their week's debris and in the middle of the night while you are sleeping drop it all on your lawn and in your flowers and shrubs!!!! I wish I could take a nap.

I am so sorry you felt BoobieLu needed to be clipped. I agree it will take some time for her to adjust to this loss of independence. Just be patient and loving to her and in time she will forgive you and your relationship can then heal hopefully.

Sounds like Spock is a handful. He is so smart perhaps he will start doing his own clean up now that he can start the vacuum!!!! I love to hear about all the mischief greys can get into. My Ana Grey is so quiet and easygoing, perhaps that is why I get a big giggle out of all the mischief other greys get involved in. Can't wait to see some pictures of Spock!!
