It is great that you are taking such good care of this lost grey. Please do whatever you would hope someone else would do if Boesman were lost to return him to you. It would break my heart of my Ana Grey were lost. I would do everything I could to find her and I would pray if someone else found her they would do all they could to find me. Our greys are like family, if a child were lost you just couldn't keep the child because you found him/her. You are a great person to take such good care of this sweet grey, I hope the owner is found quickly.

How tragic. I pray the sweet Eclectus will recover quickly and fully!

Hi AlPeters, Popeye is a real cutie. You're right there are different ways to bathe your grey. I bathe Ana Grey (8 months) in the sink and use the faucet as a light waterfall on her back. I never get her head, nostrils or ears wet. She enjoys her bath this way twice a week. On the other days I mist her with Aloe Vera juice and water. She loves the baths and misting. She always jabbers away while preening and primping. I always bathe or mist her in the morning so she will fluff and dry completely before night. I wouldn't want her to get a chill. Her bath is lukewarm and her misting is room temperature. Keep us posted on how Popeye likes his bath!!

Be careful what you wish for. As spring goes on you notice that you still have apple blossoms and at the beginning of summer apple blossoms still abound, you are delighted. But as summer goes on and fall comes, there are no candy apples at the fair or on Halloween no apples to dunk, and no grandma's apple pies for Thanksgiving and no apples in your kid's stocking at Christmas. People start to picket your home because without the apple a day to keep the doctor away they are all sick, your children get all F from their teachers because they have not received that apple from teacher's pet, and its all your fault because your wish inexplicably expanded itself and unfortunately it covered all apple trees and you are in deep poopoo with everyone!!!! I wish I could make everyone happy!

I make my birdie muffins with honey instead of sugar. I read somewhere that in Kenya the Boran people follow birds to locate bee honey. Ana Grey seems to like the honey.
