Okay, I smoked for 20 years (European cigarettes)and have stopped for over twenty years. I don't allow smoking in my home. People I know who smoke know my history and always graciously smoke outside. I have a covered front porch and sitting area for smokers. Frankly now that I don't smoke if I am around smoke, my eyes water and I have a terrible coughing fit, which is very embarrassing to me as it is so harsh. :ohmy:

What are the situations when Mika bites? It is hard to help or give suggestions if the circumstances are not known. To stop the biting; the cause must be known and acted upon. Details please!

Hi Shazia, air fresheners are not good for birds, any birds. As for the smell I have never smelled anything different or unpleasant from Ana Grey or her cage. I would ask her avian vet what could be causing the smell if I couldn't relate it to a specific food that could cause the smell. If Mika isn't getting bathed regularly it might be a skin problem. Why speculate, ask her avian vet and then there wouldn't be a question.

For sure our fids understand more than we know. Ana Grey knows my tone of voice when I want her to stop doing something. She gets animated when I am cheerful. Where she comes looking for me and I ask her "Where do you think you're going?" and she then turns around and heads back to her room. When I say "Where are you?" and she pops her head up or comes running to me. Or when I say "I'll be back" and she then quiets down and waits patiently for me to return. I don't question how intelligent they are. I just enjoy it and wait for the day my fids become smarter than me!!!:ohmy:
