Well hello opticmind. What have you named your new grey? If you have any pictures, we would love to see them. Can't wait to hear more about your TAG. Karma to you for taking in an older grey!
Well congratulations Lee on you and Cocoa bonding so quickly and successfully. I would believe that if his band says '94 then he is probably 15 years old but it really doesn't matter does it?? From your Avatar Cocoa looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing him with us!!!
As requested Penny videos of Ana Grey's play areas. She doesn't chew my furniture or window frames because she has places to go and lots to do!!! Of course that might all change once she is fully flighted!!!
My kids think I have over done it, but what do kids know!!!! :silly:

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/10/12 03:37
That is great news Cassandra. It's totally wonderful that both fids are bonding with the each of you. Karma to you for your stick with it attitude! Pictures please of both birds if at all possible!
Great update on Freddy, Jay and Maggie! I can't wait to see pictures of Freddy when he is all feathered up. It won't be long with all the love and attention he is now getting!!!
I have a cargo net that covers the total office window in my house that Ana Grey loves. It has foraging toys on it full of nuts and pellets. I have a hanging 36" ceiling perch hanging in front of my living room windows that has a large Jolly Ball hanging from the side. I have boings in my kitchen and bedroom so the fids can come visit. Their cages are covered with hanging toys inside and out with lots of ropes and cloth perches for them to play on. I have several playstands that I can carry around the house for them to be comfortable on. Spoiled no, just keeping them out of trouble!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/10/11 21:28
Thanks for the Day in the Life of Koko Tour. It was cute and fun to see. A little narrative next time if you please!!!! That is certainly a great camera!
So glad to hear all is going well with Charlotte. Can't wait to see some pictures and hear more about your sweet grey. Now that you are an official member of the grey family we want to hear all the goings on!!!
If you decide to do a dna test it is $24.50 for feather sexing. If you go to www.avianbiotech.com and request a kit they will send you one with complete instructions. Sasha is a great name for your new baby!
Dave, I am just delighted with what you do provide for us. You are being extremely generous with sharing this wonder with us. Karmas to you for your love of greys!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/10/11 01:39
Of course the choice is yours. I would place paper under the rope that she loves to sit on to eat at and remove the paper once she is done. Then you are both happy.
My grey is quiet when I am in the room with her and noisy when I leave it. I have gotten into the habit of telling her "I'll be right back" and she will be quiet until I return. If she does call out to me I just call back so she knows I'm around. If you had a playstand closer to where you and our guests are that might help your grey feel like part of the family. I believe he only wants some attention. I have a perch hanging from the ceiling that my fids love to sit on. There are foraging toys on it and they are quite content there when I am watching TV.
