 Forget it Jill, Ana Grey picked up the call of the crows in my area. I live not far from the river. She CAWs all the time. I just ignore it. But it is hard not to respond to that ear piercing, high pitched sound!
Bernie, please do christen your boat! Just a little bubbly over the bow with "I christen you ......" and a 7 gun salute, okay forget the salute!!! and all will go well and slow down when you are steering. Little steps, Bernie, little steps. Good Luck!!!!
I have an older re-homed Eclectus who is at least 10 years old. He likes to be alone and will scream at night if I forget to turn his lights off and close his door by 7:00 pm. Even though I let him out of his cage he prefers to go from his large cage of a smaller travel cage and sit inside. He is happy has long as he can see me. He enjoys his own company more than others. He was a plucker in a noisy pet store so I believe he just prefers peace and calm. Because he no longer plucks, I respect his wishes as he is free to interact with me if he so wishes.
Dave is very knowledgable and I agree, as long as your grey is healthy I would respect his quiet time and he will most likely rejoin the family when he is ready. Please introduce yourself in the Welcome Room so everyone can say Hi!
So very happy, happy, happy to hear that Lily is going to be A-Okay!!! Thanks Greg for keeping us well informed about your sweet Lily! You're a wonderful and loving parront!
Hi AvonLady! Haven't purchased any Avon for years. Gave up makeup years ago! Glad you found us and look forward to hearing more about your little flock! If you have any pictures, we would love to see them! Welcome to the Grey Family!
Bernie, Tiggs caught a great head wind going over the ocean and landed a bit earlier than expected!!!!! Unfortunately, Houston tracked him thinking it was a satellite coming in and brought him down!!! Fortunately he is unhurt!!! Unfortunately the FBI is holding him for return kick back to you as you forgot to send the proper health certificates and travel documents!!!! They (FBI) sent me a picture of where Tiggs is being held until deportation (safe kick off time) can be set up (proper head winds and all):
It's nice to know that Tiggs has been taken good care of. His send off is at 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time this evening.
Unfortunately British authorities are going to be knocking on your door soon.......something about smuggling live animals into the USA!!!!!! I'm really ashamed of you Bernie!!!! Tiggs deserves so much better!!! You take good care of him now!!!!

Rhonnie, glad to hear Bill is doing better today. It's nice to know that Lola will be going with family and will be providing a great help to your daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Big hugs and many good thoughts heading your way.
Please take the advice of others to take your baby grey to see an avian vet. If you have hand-raised other birds then you for sure know something is wrong and only an avian vet can properly help you.
Oh so sorry Caroline. I agree with Dan, something may be frigthening him. A shadow or nightly sound that happens late at night that Charlie can see or hear. I like the idea of a motion camera to see if you can see and hear what is going on at night. Perhaps if you just move his cage to another area to see if things are different. I hope you can find the right solution very soon.
