  1. I use cement perches for my parrots to keep their nails trimmed. I have never had to trim their nails. I also have wooden perches (the ones that came with their cages) in their cages. Because parrots prefer higher than lower perches, the cement perches are higher and used most.
  2. Praying that things are going well for Jay. Be strong Maggie.
  3. Welcome Crackle. Forget the misstep and focus on building a loving relationship. My adult children are not bird/parrot lovers and my greys know it and react to it. If you are hesitate or afraid Crackle knows it and takes advance. So take a deep breathe, RELAX and start again with a more positive self-assured attitude. You can do this, so relax.
  4. Welcome Drekkyek and Mocha. Great photo. Looking forward to learning more about y'all.
  5. God be with you, Howardine. I wish only the best for you and yours.
  6. Hi Isha, welcome to the Grey Family, looking forward to learning more about you and your new grey.
  7. I understand she will taste just like chicken. 😃
  8. My 20 year old Lilac Headed zon laid an egg. I just took it out after a few days.
  9. Screens on all doors and windows works for me. I have had my flighted greys since 2007.
  10. Welcome to the Grey Family. Relax and let your new friend get use to her new home.
  11. Welcome Rudygrey. Very nice looking Cag. Welcome to the Grey Family. Rudy looks very calm and relaxed. Looking forward to watching the two of you grow together.
  12. Welcome Alex. Rico is a cutie.
  13. Welcome to the Grey Family, Lil! What is your Cag's name? Can't wait to learn more about the both of you. Like, where do you live?
  14. Hi Ini, where are you from? I live in the State of Washington, USA. There are two kinds of African Greys, Congo and Timneh. They are different looking and their personalities are different. Timnehs, (tags), are smaller and usually more mellow then Congos, (Cags) for example. So glad you have joined the Grey Family. We love pictures by the way😀.
  15. Sterling Gris knows the term ''Damn Bird'' but he can be one like a prince. 😁
  16. Hoping all goes well for you Ray. Perhaps they are waiting to hear back from someone they hope will purchase their Blue and Gold (good friend/ family member). Waiting is always hard.
  17. Lovely picture. Love it!!!!
  18. Don't look at us keep posting. We know we're cute.
  19. I have 20 year old re-homed Lilac headed amazon who has laid eggs. The advice from the late Dave007 was to leave them alone until the zon lost interest. If you remove them too quickly your parrot might just lay more which is not a healthy idea.
  20. WOW! All excited for you Ray. Can't wait to hear how it goes.
  21. Welcome Roy and Smokey. Can't wait to learn more about the two of you.
  22. Typing one handed is not fun or easy. I can't use my left fingers at all which means I can't grab at all but life goes on and parrots still need attention.
  23. Long story short, I have sprained my wrist and am in a soft cast for as least a week so I will be reading your posts but typing less so be good. As Arnold says, ''I'll be back.'' Luvparrots
