1. Hi Pat, it is so very good to hear from you!!!! You have been missed!!! Can't wait to hear how your flock is doing!!!
2. You know Dr. Flock with the lower and lower airline flight costs it just might become advantageous for us to fly you to see our greys instead of taking them to their very expensive avian vets!!!! :)
3. I leave the tv on when I'm not home. But frankly it's probably more to make me feel better as my pets don't seem to notice.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2010/01/15 03:11
4. At this point I believe you would have to rely on the fact that he would immediately know you and come to you, and identifying marks, scars, pictures and words/tricks and things you taught your grey that would identify him. Do you have an avian vet for Sindbad? When I purchased my grey, I was given a bill of sale, I assume you were also. Of course, none of this is important until you find Sindbad. Still praying daily for his return!
5. Hi Debbie, I take it that Ollie has his wings clipped. My Ana Grey was clipped when I got her and she would walk the floors all the time if she needed to find me. She had no way to get around otherwise since she could not fly. I was always afraid I was going to step on her. I placed boings and hanging perches with foraging toys throughout the house so she would have placed to be and things to do. When I left a room I just took her with me so she wouldn't walk the floors and placed her on the perch/boing. As long as she could see me, she was happy. I also have hanging ropes so that she could climb up on the perches/boings or cage from the floor. Now she is fully flighted, it took over a year!!!!! and she just flies where she wants to go which are the perches/boings/cage or me because that is what she was taught to do. This, I believe, has saved my drapes and woodwork.

9. Hi Abe. Welcome to you and ThaThaMo. I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad. It sounds like your Dad and ThaThaMo were quite bonded. You have been very patient with ThaThaMo and it sounds like she is now coming around. Dave has given a lot of great advice and frankly has said it all in a nutshell! Can't wait to hear more about ThaThaMo and how things are going!
10. I am so sorry for this ordeal you have been going through. Now take a deep breath and regroup. Sindbad is out there somewhere. Have you tried posting pictures of Sindbad at the local elementary school? Children are so observant if there is a grey around they will know. Don't give up.
