For safety sake, I have my fids in bird carriers in the backseat of my car. In case of an emergency, I wouldn't want my birds loose in a moving vehicle.

It would take some studying, but yes I believe so. Ana Grey has a lot of red on her tail for a Timneh. She has markings on her beak right now that I could recognize and the place where her band was removed is still quite bare. Once she started to talk, it would be easy and if she should whistle I would know her in a second. I believe she would come to me if I called and she had a mind to come.

My fids have watery poop when they eat fruit, especially grapes or melons. I also fed them pastas, rice and beans along with their vegetables. I hope Shaka Zulu checks out okay with the vet. Good thoughts going her way.

Great pictures of family fun!!! My Ana Grey loves plastic straws to chew on. Unfortunately I am a terrible toymaker so I must buy most of Ana Grey's toys. What fun you all must have had.

I had first choice of 4 four-month-old greys. I was going to bring home the youngest because that is the one that the breeder and I always talked about "little Sweetpea." But it was Ana Grey the oldest and most confident one that chose me. She climbed up my arm and wanted to stay. Sweetpea bite me and ran back to the cage. Ana Grey was the ring leader and the breeder says that the other 3 were a little upset for days after she left. She was also the one who learned to mimic Chihuahuas at the breeders. Ana Grey does like to be in charge!

I realize that some people wouldn't do all they could to return a pet to the rightful owner. But I microchipped my pets because I would do anything to get my sweet friends back and perhaps the person who found one of them would feel the same. That and, of course, there would be a reward!

So glad to hear that Willis is eating some and flying some. I pray he is on the mend.

Ana Grey eats Pretty Bird Specifically for African Greys and lots of fresh veggies and fruit. She smells fine. I clean my fids' cages daily so I have never noticed a smell.

Great news Elisha. Sound like you are doing just right. Hopefully things will turn around now for Indy!

Ana Grey is microchipped and the procedure left no after effects on her. An assistant held her and the vet chipped her in the chest. Quick and simple. If Ana Grey is lost, I plan to contact all the vet offices in the area, including the adjoining state because I live right on the state line.
