That is a very nice looking cage and if you have a space problem its great and, of course, if you don't mind moving it around to be cleaned that is. Personal preferences is what you need to think about. I thought about a cage like this because I have three parrots, but having to leave it in a corner only... stopped me. Good luck with your choice.

As I said, Sully kissed his new parront on the cheek in my presence, he no longer considers himself part of my flock, and let me know with that act, that he was happy. He rides on Jordan's shoulder all over town and is very happy and I am delighted for him and Jordan.

Thanks for asking about Sterling Gris, Gwen. He is just fine. He has given up his one helping of formula now and weighs in at 505 g. He is very sweet and independent. The other two have decided they do not like being put in their cages for trying to bully Sterling and more or less have given up that exercise. Sterling is not a timid guy. Actually he outweighs the other two easily. He is sitting on my shoulder while I type having shooed off Ana Grey from the back of the chair. Although I still watch them all closely, Sterling is a very sweet and independent grey. I think I am very fortunate to have parrots that very confident in themselves.

I would ask the amazon's breeder for help and if you can't get any help there, take this baby to an avian vet! That is the advice I give you, please take this baby to an avian vet!!!

I have lots of plastic chain in cages, hanging from the ceiling and connecting perches, my fids, especially Louie the zon, love them to pieces. Best thing every made for parrots!!!

Yes it is a weeping fig that I have had for over twenty years. If it is toxic my fids must be immune because they have always been around it and are still fine.

So update on Sully and his new friend Jordan. Jordan came over the other day to borrow Ana Grey's harness to take Sully to "Camas Days". I asked to see Sully so Jordan brought him over before going out with him. I answered the door and said "Hi Sully" Sully took a step back and planted a beak on Jordan's cheek. What a sweet way to tell me he was so very happy in his new life by kissing his new parront. It brought tears to my eyes confirming that I had done the right thing for Sully, he is loved and happy with Jordan and his family. What a delightful warm feeling that gives me. I just wanted to share this experience with everyone.

I really feel for you Samy but, I did have to laugh at the "bad" word(s) you used as I know Ziggy probably is just mimicing you. I stubbed my toe and let out a F--k -t and a lot of ouchies with gusto and Ana Grey used the wording for a while, minus the laughs. Thank goodness that has stopped and no one else heard her! Hang in there, you are a good parront and Ziggy will come to see that.... hopefully.

Hi Coach White, welcome to the Grey family! As to shoulder sitting, its all up to you. Do you enjoy your parrot in your shoulder?? If so, it's great. If not, then you should curb Ziggy's desire to go there. It's all up to you. As long as my parrots don't nibble my ears, I have no problems with shoulder sitting. That's one of the very nice things about having a flighted companion, if you don't want them on your shoulder a quick flick of the shoulder and off they go! I look forward to hearing about your new friend!!!

Louie and Ana Grey have determined that, darn it, Sterling is not going anywhere and they have gotten tired of being sent to their room and scolded all the time. So they pretty much leave Sterling alone now. Beside Sterling is no wuss and much larger than either of them so as the vet said, Sterling will probably be ruling the roost in no time.
