    Broken back?

Glad to hear Vree has had a better day Kathryn, but you should definitely be getting onto the vet about what to do now - it's possible they've gotten sidetracked and have forgotten about him. Just keep phoning phoning phoning!
  2. Hi Elvinking! So glad you are going to let your baby keep his wings - it's what mother nature intended! Alfie has a harness too - no problems accepting it, although on the odd occasion she doesn't feel like having it on and we respect that. She does enjoy coming out for walks with us and the dogs though. Nice picture by the way - your grey looks so sweet! And you can put my penny in the next animal charity box you see!!
  3. Thanks Dan! Lol - we did have a laugh about the comment, but imagine telling me Alfie is nothing special!!! How dare he!!!
  4. Would you believe someone has left a mean comment on this video on youtube!! They said Alfie was "nothing special" I'm in shock!! I put them straight though - politely!!
  5. {Feel-good-0002006E} Ha thats a funny one Bernie! This bird, hmmm not too sure about this one! He's either in love with the phone, or he's whacked. What do you think?
  6. Alfie says thanks everyone (and her little brother twice removed etc! ) for all the happy hatchday wishes and karma! She wishes her forum friends could have joined in with her! x<br><br>Post edited by: pearllyn, at: 2010/02/04 23:34
  7. Jill I love this bird! This is def one of my favourite videos! Thanks for posting it!
  8. Hi Angie, Igor sounds as if she's doing fine to me. I think an unhappy bird will make itself known to you beyond any doubts! You are right though, all the books and reading in the world can't prepare you for real life with a grey! They're awesome. Keep us updated on how she settles in. Lyn & Alfie. x
  9. So the surprise tea party wasn't really a surprise - the chihuahua squealed! No matter, I lovingly prepared some tasty treats for Alfie.... ...and shopped long and hard to find her favourite toys - pens and rizla papers! And what did she want????? The breadsticks!! Mind you, I went to great lengths to get them out of the packet...... She was eventually tempted by the mash and fruit salad though! She didn't even look at her bowl of toys yet! Kids ay??!! Broken back?

Oh poor baby! Hope you hear back today. At least then you will be able to get on with treatment, and not just have to watch him lying around. x

    Broken back?

It's great that he is wanting to eat - that has to be a good sign. It seems like you've waited ages for the vet to get back to you? I'd be beside myself. And share all you want!!!
  12. It's such a great idea Dee. I hope whoever eventually ends up with this quilt appreciates just how much pure love and emotion has litterally been sewn into the fabric. And to make it an annual thing? That is quite an undertaking!
  13. Ouch Penny! Sorry to hear of your injuries. Now you must do as the doctor says in order to make a full recovery - four weeks without running is waaaay better than a lifetime without running. x
  14. It's so great to hear that Spock is talking and whistling. Thanks for the update, Good wishes to you all. x
  15. Alfie turns 2 today!! She had a cup of tea in bed with me this morning (special treat!) and we are giving her a surprise (shhh!) hatchday tea party this evening. Yep - we're all kinds of crazy!!
  16. Lol - that's what I thought Janet, I'm just not too sure!! This one is a slow starter but stick with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFvRptfqoPI&feature=PlayList&p=94E7BF6F9B5F21C8&index=77&playnext=21&playnext_from=PL
  17. Oh dear. I'm afraid I've missed my excersises today. Will have to make up for it tomorrow.
  18. Hello Christian, welcome to the forum. Congratulation on your decision to invite one of these amazing creatures into your home. He/she will change your life in so many ways. There are many interesting and helpful threads in the forums that will help to prepare you for your new arrival - there is a lot to do and think about. If you have any specific questions just ask away - someone will surely be able to give you an answer! Looking forward to meet your new friend when he/she finally arrives. Lyn & Alfie.
  19. A man goes into a cinema with his dog to watch a film. It's a romantic comedy and when there's a funny scene the dog starts laughing. A little later on there's a sad part and suddenly the dog starts crying. This goes on throughout the entire film, laughing and crying at all the right places. A man sitting a few rows back has witnessed the entire thing and decides to follow the man out. In the foyer, he approaches the dog owner and says, "That's truly amazing!" "It certainly is" The dog owner replied, "He hated the book!"<br><br>Post edited by: pearllyn, at: 2010/02/03 22:53
  20. Dan, this is just awful. I'm sorry I couldn't read the report or look at the pictures, but did donate. This so has to be stopped.
  21. How sweet! It must be hard work - being a devoted mother!!
  22. Good luck with this endeavour - I don't see why a vet shouldn't be able to visit you.
  23. Hehe - this is just the funniest thing - I've watched it a few times! But Bernie found it, I just found it again, sort of!!
