  1. Very nice stack cages. What type of Zon are you getting?
  2. I voted Where are photos of this lovely DYH?
  3. Here is me 3 yrs ago in Florida on Vacation. I hadn't been up very long so excuse the night shirt LOL!
  4. Well the idea is to have the whole pellet moist and drop it in their mouth so they can learn to swollow foods on their own so crushing it up would defeat the purpose. Harrison's is one of the best diets out there for birds today, it was formulated by an Avian Vet. Thanks
  5. I agree with Leon and I would also like to say that Echo is a very beautiful Timneh.
  6. Ok I am going to wean Roscoe on Harrison's high potency course pellets and I bought some of the Harrison power treats for weaning him onto pellets so I soaked them in very warm water and the darn things will not soften up so I am a bit disappointed with this so I want to get the Scenic Hand Weaning pellets because I have tried these years ago and they soften up nicely the only issue I have is I will be weaning him onto Harrison's diet so does anyone think the Scenic Hand Weaning pellets for weaning him will screw that up? Has anyone else tried Harrison's power treat with the same issues?
  7. Yea I agree I will stick to my normal African Greys!<br><br>Post edited by: Cagal08, at: 2008/08/08 16:26

I work in the vet field so I am always trying to find homes for white boxers that people bring in to have put down for no reason I am so sick of this type of breeding and just wish every good person would pull together to help stop it!
  12. It is actually heart breaking because people have done it with dogs and now birds and it just saddens me Why mess with a good thing? I will never understand people but I fully understand animals "sigh"
  13. This is amazing and I don't quite get how they produced so much red in the greys but honestly I love my normal colored greys and wouldn't ever dream of spending that much on a pair that would produce this...now how healthy are they?? http://www.birdsfromafrica.co.za/redafrican.html
  14. We plan to put Roscoes Aviator harness on when his pin feathers are out of the shaft more because I imagine the harness on those pin feathers cannot be comfy but we do not plan to ever cut Roscoes wings so he will be acustomed to the harness for sure.
  15. We only cook on stainless steel and I wouldn't trade my stainless for any other cookware. Our stovetop is smooth top ( glass) but we hardly cook indoors in the summer we always cook outside on the grill. I have known about the toxity of non-stick cookware for over 20 yrs now and its just not a risk I will take. This needs to be a constant reminder to new bird owners about the risk involved. I have had numerous friends in the bird world loose their beloved members of the family this way and it is devistating.

  17. So sorry to hear your baby girl is so sick. Any news on how she is doing?

  19. Nope you have a normal grey! Dunking pellets is quite normal for all pellet eating birds but I worry about bacteria forming quickly so I have Roscoe a Lixit glass water bottle just for birds.<br><br>Post edited by: Cagal08, at: 2008/08/03 09:07
  20. Thanks he is very vocal after he eats and he does like his formula at exactly 105 or he refuses it if it gets 1 degrees lower so he is already showing personality LOL! Even my hubby cannot stop video tapping him or taking pictures with his cell phone to show off at work. My mother instincts are kicking in and I want to spoil the grey pants off him but I know better.
  21. This will show you how a dog can bond so strong with its owner, this had me blown away. http://breathingeasy.wordpress.com/2008/03/15/dog-dance/
  22. Here is Roscoe , DOB- 6/9/08 7 Weeks old and the breeder said she thinks hes a male and so do I , hes dark grey right now but that block head gives it away that hes probably a male He has the biggest eyes I ever seen on a grey, I am so in love with him already <3 <br><br>Post edited by: Cagal08, at: 2008/08/02 04:51
