She is doing well she slept really well last night...and woke us all up playing with one of her "rattle" toys. Very very precious! She just ate breakfast and now is hanging out on her play stand. I am so happy with her. She makes the cutest little baby noises whenever we stop and talk to her...almost like she is trying to tell us a story about something. She makes my heart melt!

She is calm and happy! I put her on her play stand and she loved it right away...climbed right to the top! Right now she is sitting on the top preening and looking around. I am so happy to have her home! Here is a link to her first at home pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fairymyst78/sets/72157608366355425/ Here is a link to her very first at home video:

Ya we have so much fun on the visits! I am so excited to be bringing her home on Saturday!! (little nervous too!!)

I have been so excited about getting a baby grey...the moment I put a deposit down on a bird with the breeder, I bought a cage! Chloe wasn't even hatched yet and I had the cage put together and waiting for her. I have been so crazy getting things ready. The anticipation is very high! I have been visiting her since she was a few weeks old and with each visit I get more and more excited to bring her home. Originally this Saturday we only had a visit planned...didn't realize when we planned the visit that this would be the actual day we brought her home, I just found that fact out this morning!!!

The breeder emailed today and let me know I can bring Chloe home on Saturday!!!!!!!! I am really really excited! I am wondering if I will get any sleep for the next two nights! {Feel-good-000200A2} She is eating seeds (she refused the Harrison's pellets) and also eats lots of different veggie's. The breeder still has her on a 3x a day formula feeding schedule but on November 4th I can go down to morning and night feeding. Tomorrow I have to go and buy some formula and then I am ALL ready to bring her home!

Great new name!! Those pictures you took of her are awesome!

What size is the play hut you purchased for Darcy? Where did you find it? I have been seriously considering purchasing one before baby Chloe comes home in a couple of weeks!

When I get the stainless I am going to try using the olive oil cooking spray. It is zero or mainly trace amount of fat as long as you don't over spray. I bake with it and it seems to keep things from sticking really well...so I am hoping it will work while I cook with the SS.

If you upload your picture to http://www.photobucket.com/ you can then post the Image code into the body of the post. I hope that helps.

Thank you Dave. I will start saving now!! Looks like a great set.

OK...I am so glad this topic got brought up. I need to buy some frying pans but all I can find that have no nonstick is cast iron. OR WAY expensive SS. Problem is I can not cook with cast iron due to how heavy it is...I have muscular dystrophy with SIGNIFICANT upper body weakness. Anyone have any resource to where I can find the SS fry pans that are reasonably priced? Also once I do find some...how in the heck do I cook with them? When I was a kid I remember cooking with my mom's SS and EVERYTHING would stick!

OK the bird shredder idea is AWESOME! I have a stack of bank statements and stuff sitting here. I have been wondering how I was going to shred it all up. I will see if Chloe (once we bring her home) would enjoy shredding as your bird does! -
Anyone have this toy for their bird? Just ordered it and am hoping Chloe will like it. I have heard that Greys seem to really enjoy the bells...but I had been concerned of Chloe chewing out the clapper...so when I found this one I got excited about it. SO looking to see if anyone has tried this toy on their grey. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=13208

Post edited by: fairymyst78, at: 2008/10/15 17:02

I was wondering if you think a two way baby monitor would help when you move Tyco to the other room? That way you can still soothe her if she wakes up in the middle of the night and calls out for you.
