At the end of the day Dusty is my bird he is 100% healthy and that all i care about if you get off by bash people on forums like this go ahead. All this badge wearing " my board certified and 25 years of experience avian vet " we all could start saying things like this. This is a cumputer screen and at the top there is a lovely RED X if you dont like my pic of my bird then Press it. My self i would only offer infomation if people ask and i didnt. The pic was and is for people that have common sense as Danmcq say "The KEY here, is MODERATION and small quantities". one thing i have noticed about this forum in the last few months ive been reading, people are fast to force there views on others. ive gained some great information from here and i am VERY greatful for that.

Great Vid and great info well done to you both "Karma" for the ongoing work.
-
My last word on this as i know and feel what i do for Dusty is right. If all you care about is "scientific fact". Then i feel for your flock.

Thanks SchroedersJen i think people have lots that point. My Dusty has been to the vets last month and got a A* as everyone can plainly see he looks happy. People should look at there own life style and there own flids before jumping on the band wagon ( i'm sorry for sounding off) but alittle of something thats naughty wont do too much harm. Anyway now its time to go chase dusty from chewing my house

we have first hand Exp at this about the only thing i can really talk about with greys (new too Greys). We had (note i said HAD still sore over this)Nice new 50" plasma TV then while after Dusty got used to it. He started to land on it i thought OMG something Bad going to happen. The sure enough Fizz Bang. Now i dont blame Dusty(which the wife assures me it wasnt Dustys fault (joking)). We tried Toys things Dusty had never seen, these work for a short time. If you do this your Grey Will return to do what Greys Do Trust Me ive been there £1000 Tv. The only way i found is to scare them away now some people will say your been awful to your grey and your right, but i'm sure in the wild the leader of the flock isnt going to ask nicely Dont sit there. Now before we get all shirty and everyone starts Biting my head off, I LOVE MY DUSTY. I cant keep paying £1000 for a new Plasma TV every time birdie lands a pop there. Since the TV has been replaced i chased/scared off Dusty only a few Times. I'm not proud of this but its working and He has only landed on the TV once so far. Hope this helps

Post edited by: Jaguar, at: 2009/08/26 22:33

Very nice pics and i see it must be a Grey thing to nip toes. I was sleeping on the sofa few months back and Dusty thought "hes not taking notice of me Sheesh will fix this" the came over and seen a nice toe to Nip. Lets just say Not one person dare sleep if Dusty is out now! Sheesh Greys cant live with them and cant live without them
-
he just wont give it back afterwards lol "its Mine now ALL mine"
-
Dusty having another icecream lol
-
just go back to training him from day one and get him to trust it again. If hes trusted it once hopefully he will trust it again. enforce it with some things he likes maybe a toy he likes (a little distraction). Good Luck

Mint pic thanks . Harvey looks a clever bird

Dusty loves "Crunchy Nut Cornflakes" as soon as he hears them being poured into a bowl he's "Wait for me! Dont forget the Dusty". We dont give them to him alot too much sugar but try eating them around Dusty its just not possible
-
We have to have Neighbours But we dont have to TALK to them. i think i am the same as hk955 "I have been told I lack people skills!" which is very true and why i like my pets more than people

Catherine and i would LOVE another bird/grey we work from home so have alot of time to give. The only problem is i dont want to change Dustys world he seems very jealous so i wouldnt think he would take another bird. Another thing i dont think catherine and i really know enough (or are confident enough) at this moment to handle two greys. So for the moment i think Dusty is our limit. The good in this is Dusty is a Great limit to have.:woohoo:

Post edited by: Jaguar, at: 2009/08/03 11:45
