Every other breeder I have called does not have any ready to go,they seem to sell them as fast as they get them weaned.I do know that she is hard to catch by phone that might be one reason.

She told me that she wanted to be totally honest with me about them... She said that both of them are very sweet, but she is the only one that has handled them,so she doesn't know if they would bond with all three of us (me,my wife, and my son) she thinks it might just bond with my wife, because they are bonded with a female already.I think my wife would like that, because our Macaw kind of favors me anyway. It's pretty normal for greys to pick one person anyway right? I just hope eight months is not a little to long to say with the breeder.

Post edited by: jdr, at: 2008/03/03 18:53

Thanks for the replies everyone, both the greys are the same price, she told me that one was a female, but red factor has not been sexed. Can you folks tell me what is the main difference between male, and female greys.Other than one is a boy and the other a girl:lol:

I sent the breeder an email asking if she could please send photos of both greys. It would be about a 70 mile drive if we decide to go see them.

What is your opinion of them? do you like them or do you like normal colored ones better?

Have any of you ever heard of a CAG red factor. For those who read my post in the welcome forum, one of the greys is a red factor.I have heard of them but not seen one.
  10. Thanks for all the replies,as for Bandit he is quite a character. He is 1.5 years old.He can be pretty stubborn when he wants. His ideal of playing includes biting,we have to remind him to take it easy on us.He has lots of energy,he's a real clown. He likes to hang upside down by just one little claw, that still amazes me.I have never posted pics before, but I will try to figure it out.
  11. Hello, I'm Joey from Alabama.MY wife and I have been thinking about getting a CAG for a long time.We are not totally new to parrots,we currently have a Severe Macaw his name is Bandit.I have been contacting several breeders, but none have any ready to go.I did find one breeder who has two babies left from the summer. My question is do you think this would be an ok way to go? or should we wait for a just weaned baby? Our Severe Macaw was about the same age when we got him,and it has worked out find. Thanks for the advice. Post edited by: jdr, at: 2008/02/28 02:31

Post edited by: jdr, at: 2008/02/28 14:57
