  1. Debbie... it was very funny the first 5 or even 10 times, but now it is getting quite annoying especially since it is usually when I am in the middle of Desperate Housewives or something... Thank God for skyplus.... i can rewind it Usually they talk at the same time... well Oisin doesnt really talk much yet. He isnt even 1. He can say Hello Buddy, Hello Liath, How are ya and lots of different noises. Liath doesnt usually let him have a word in anyway. But he can laugh at the appropriate times and say Huh? so it sounds like conversations!
  2. Oh my she DOES have a kind of purple hue doesnt she? She really is gorgeous and such a shiny beak!
  3. Ace is a great name... easy for him to say, and of course a grey is an Ace bird!!! Good choice!
  4. Liath "What does the horsey say?" to which Oisin replies Click clock over and over and over and over.....
  5. That is brilliant news, it was obvious he was a fighter as he hung on this long. Honestly we probably all thought this was a losing battle, but we didnt count on your commitment to him, the wonderful vet you have and of course Bobby's own fighting spirit. We look forward now to a post saying you have brought your little darling home.
  6. {Feel-good-0002006E} That is so cute, you are obviously raising a genius!
  7. I can see you in the window But he looks really happy. I love to see sunshine on a birds feathers, we keep them in such unnatural light most of the time.
  8. I am praying for him. I even told my kids about him and they are including him in morning prayers in school. Hopefully he will pull through. Hang in there Carol....
  9. I just love the first picture. The way she is hanging on with her foot and holding onto the tassle with her beak, its like she is saying... DONT DROP ME!!! She must really trust you to lie there like that.
  10. That is a brilliant set up for your little ones isnt it? So many toys... there are more toys than there are birds If you show anybody your aviary you will have people queuing up to rehome their budgies and cockatiels with you!

  12. THANKS Judy... we will be over on Sunday... hey guys open house in Judy's... who is coming????
  13. Oh congratulations Claire.... a bouncing baby girl!! Wonderful news!
  14. Sorry:whistle: But THIS year I am determined to enjoy every hour of sunshine. Last year was totally miserable... Imagine having floods in the Summer. I flew into Doncaster last August and most of the fields were lakes! So all you UK and Irish members... get out and enjoy the weather. And Mark please try a harness! Liath loves hers! Just the sight of it gets her excited now. It is defintitely worth the hassle of getting them used to it
  15. I am so glad to hear no seeds. Take it from me who has 2 seed junkies! I don't understand why parrots are weaned onto seed when it is universally known that pellets are better for them:S . Then owners are left with the task of trying to feed their birds balanced diets. Actually I do understand... seed is cheaper!
  16. Don't ya just love the Summer. Max looks like he is loving the weather too. Lets enjoy it while it lasts! Last year this was the only nice weekend we got B)
  17. It looks like he is loving it. It is great that he is used to the harness at the beginning of the Summer, he will have a great time outdoors!
  18. I'm sorry it didnt work out Sandra, but I suppose Lucy knew what she wanted  As you said the right owner is out there for her, and perhaps the right eclectus is out there for you;) I'm glad you had a good time though.
  19. Yes there are some beans that are dangerous. Lovemygreys has a topic on it that you should read. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/72459-a-word-of-warning.html Zandische, maybe I am just dumb, but I never thought of juicing for the birds. One of my greys has a real problem with vegetables unless they are well cooked. So this morning I juiced some carrots and an orange and gave all the birds some juice and some pulp. He drank the juice but didnt touch the pulp:unsure: BUT the cockatiels loved the pulp and they have NEVER eaten veggies for me EVER. Karma to you for your wonderful idea!
  20. Yeah its brilliant that she will wear it. Oisin wont have it near him. Mind you that could be because its psychadellic PINKB) Maybe if I got him a blue one:laugh:
  21. It was a lovely day today so I took Liath out into the garden.
  22. That is lovely to see, my dogs would run a mile before they would come near my greys. Mind you since i have Yorkies, the greys are nearly as big as them And being Yorkies I dont trust them with the birds.

  24. They are really cute baby dinosaurs... Sorry but I just can't see the attraction with a bald bird... much cuter when they have a few feathers! Why is it that in almost every species they are cuter when they are babies and get uglier as they get older... except birds? The cockatoo is nice though:whistle:
  25. I am not scared of the size of the bird... I am scared of the size of their beak! I have never seen a Hyacinth (apart from pictures) but they are bigger than a B&G and I am afraid of a B&Gs beak
