Wow what a sweetheart I'd say Sparky sure is a boy as he has the blue cere, the little bit above his beak. Age seems about right,as Sparky has lost the black stripes on his head if he was a baby they would go all the way down to the cere, & the good news the boys dont bite as hard as the girls :lol:

dblhelix great advice Nellie you need to be strong & start a new routine, personally i would only give a small hand feed in the evening before bed, this way you know your bird will have a nice full crop.The rest of the time you need to leave normal food for him, gradually as he gets use to this you can then limit the night time hand feeds.He needs to explore new foods,textures & flavours.

Tari, why do you hate peeling eggs ? is it the smell ? judygram i think adding a little vinegar is meant to stop the eggs from cracking when boiling. Lidia have to agree, runny eggs & solders, yum yum

mpr86 You made a good decision & followed your head & not your heart. once this bird has been to the vet & fingers crossed gets the all clear will you still consider him ? Either way the right bird will be out there for you. Good luck.

DarinKing congrats on your little girl,Pedra is a lovely name I have Coco who is 14 months old, a re home & the previous owner thought she was a boy, she was use to things like whos a good boy etc.. but now says good girl

I have 3 budgies that live in an outdoor aviary which they share with 4 cockatiels,they dont fight at all & get along great. Pictures for you these were taken indoors.
