  12. hi Hilary, i had a cage like Judy has they are cool cages & very roomy for a grey, shame you was not in the UK it's sitting in my garage !! i removed my cages before xmas & am fortunate my greys live in their own room , no more cage cleaning
  13. AS the the other members have said, clipping the claws shouldn't be necessary ,make sure there is an array of different textured perches available for your grey.
  14. Hi & The others have given great advice, try the ideas they have given you.Have you tried getting Gomez to step up on to a perch ? He may prefer stepping on to a perch from his cage opposed to a human hand.
  15. Hi Hilary, 1= playtop v dome, personally i prefer playtops, gives additional play area but it is personal preference. 2= Corner v rectangle, rectangle cages seem to have a larger width than corner, personally i would but a cage that has a greater width than height. Always go for the biggest cage you can afford for your grey. Here is a link for other members cages & you can see how they are set up http://www.greyforums.net/forums/african-grey/11611-post-pictures-of-your-cage.html#11611
  16. I echo everything Judy has said. Here is a previous topic on bird poop which has a good link regarding the changes in birds poop,& what to look for. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/30809-your-birds-poop.html#31852
