Broccoli Rabe

    Dan, I made some steamed last night with a light tomato sauce and spare ribs. OH, the boys ate it raw though. This is one of my favorite deep green veggie. Joe

Post edited by: nevjoe, at: 2008/02/01 05:20

  3. Well it seems you have said a lot more about Alex. The one thing I love about my grey, is that he is so loveable to me. He is ok with others, but I'm his guy. I use to eat it up like candy, but I have learned for HIS sake to change things. I want to hold him the whole day with my other birds, but we now have rules. Don't get me wrong, I am a sucker when he looks so sad if I don't get him. He would always fly over to me, but his wings are cliped to the 8th feather now. He flys to the ground now, and want up, so instead right back to the perch he went. All is much better now because I bit my lip and in a week he got the message. You are the boss not the slave, and in time he will know. We do have plenty of times we hang together, but it is when I say so. (At Night, before bed) Good luck Joe
  4. Very well done FairY. A good way to start a day. Karma for you Joe I'm waiting for the express mail right now, that will have my Playoff ticket for the Sunday game. NY Giants at Tampa Bay 1pm
  5. Here is a post I made a short time ago. Please read it, it works. Are you sure about the weight of the bird. The baby food is MORE IMPORTANT THEN ANY OTHER FOOD RIGHT NOW. HOW OLD IS THE BIRD. He should weight much more then that. My bird weighted 410cc before started to wean him. This is the link http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/36364-hand-feeding-a-baby-grey.html Joe

  11. Man begging for Karma is so sad. Feeding those birds is also so sad. I have stooped so low, but a wonderful guy I am. You know I am, ladies. I keep you so charged up with my lust and humor for the flowers you all are. God took a rib from us to give to women, but he gave you so much more. Your sweet smell, lips with soul, and a body made for loving. So thanks to women for us men to have so much to look for in you. Joe Any extra Karma is always welcome. {Love-0002011D}

    Don't worry, to soon for 100% yet. My guys are the same age, and they are at 85%, but they doing good most of the time. I have a problem on a long car rides with them. I stop every 15 min. and open the door and let them out and they go right away. They travel with me almost every day, mostly on short runs. They can't go unless they poop first by the car. Keep it going. Joe

    Broccoli Rabe

    Ok Guys. I have had this veggie since I was 2 yrs old. I have served it in most of my restaurants. This is close in taste with Collard Greens when steames with Olive oil, garlic, salt and peper. (I use red flakes peper). If boiled the bitter of the veggie will go down the drain. Cleaning foe eating: Pull leafs off, less the stems, clip off the flower part and disgard the stem. I boil the stems with salt and peper and enough water to cover the stems. Boil slow and let the stems get soft. The juice is good to drink when at room temp. for a ton of vitamins and minerals. An Old Italian thing. Hemingway likes to eat and play with the veggie when raw. Joe Its also called Rapini

Post edited by: nevjoe, at: 2007/12/31 20:47
