Hilary, it all goes by the weight and and eating habits. My bird was 4 weeks old and was weaned at 15 weeks but I still gave him some baby food till 20 weeks. You weigh the food before you give it to him and weigh it after he is done. this will tell you how much intake he is getting. Leave NOTHING TO FAITH. You're his life supply, so feedind him longer is in his best interest. He is a baby, and even human babies eat the jar food, but sometime you need to give them a bottle. Right back to you FairY. Today I rested from my trip to the Giant/Tampa football game. I got there at 9:20am and didn't leave till the Giants won the game. I waited till all the unhappy Buc fans left. I went alone, but got luckey that I sat near some young Giant fans from New York. Final score Giants 24- Bucs 14. WHAT A DAY, WHAT A DAY, WHAT A DAY. Hi KatB, Since I have done that the birds are well rested for the day. Use a cage large enough to give him room to move side to side. I use a cage 18x18x30 high. One for each of my birds. Sleep from 10pm to 9am. Joe

I have sleeper cages for them. In the small bedrooms I keep them, and when its time for sleep they go in there cages and keep them in a dark room. Thats how I do it. Joe
