Yes its true they do usually have a fav person.I'm in same dilemma except Alcazar prefers my boyfriend and he doesnt even belong to my boyfriend. However Alcazar will only try to bite me when I go to put him back in his cage when I grab for him It can also be because even w/ a chair Alcazar's perch is higher than me so I feel he's trying to show me he's the dominating one in the flock.When my boyfriend isnt in the room then thats when Alcazar will cuddle with me. Have her try to have place a perch up to him and bring him out on that. Have her talk to him.Like Judy says let her give him treats.

Ok, hands up ! At age 13 I was intrigued w/ the breed because of the talking. After thorough research trough life I became attracted to the more reason of owning an African Grey. I feel my reason now is because of its beauty,personality and companionship.Like Tracy said, the speech is a bonus.
