  1. Okay it was 6 month's yesterday, 15th.Update is good, so far.My radius bone in my left arm just shows a line on it.I can lift a child at least. When it comes to picking up a rubbermaid tub I cant. The best thing is I can type like I use too.My femur bone in my right leg also shows a small crack now. However the talus bone in my right foot still causes trouble. It has its moments.I still take the Hydrocodone when the kiddos leave and use the ice packs.I still have to prop it up at night because it swells after daycare.I now do the daycare on my own except for days that it has its moments and that can be like once or twice a week.Last week I didnt need help.Xrays still show the part that has died and so far has stayed the same with no progression of it dying anymore. So that means I still cant cart wheel yet .Not allowed to bowl a year, not allowed to use the treadmill for a year and a half. Still have the scars>Ive been putting on the Palmer's cocobutter lotion.I have noticed a difference.Thank you for all the encouraging words throughout this though.I give you an update on the day I do a cart wheel..:silly:

  6. Ohhhhh cute DYH...HAve fun..haha.I have two..They have split personalities.I noticed they are more of a party bird unlike the Alcazar whose an African Grey and seems to act more laid back in a sense of a conservative personality .

  10. September 11, 2001: The Day Our World Changed Planes crashing into buildings in pictures from a disaster film before our actual eyes On the small screen filling our homes with scenes of terror so horrifying they must be simulated Unable to comprehend how anyone willingly could commit these brutal acts of terror Yet these images of harsh reality become etched into our memory As we watch the destruction of a way of life The laughter of my young daughter pulls me from the barrage of images and back into the reality of our day Too young to know what has happened yet sensing the anxiety in the air Focusing on the exploration of her world with a simple request of "Out" Her small hand placed trustingly in mine to guide her on way A little voice of hope for the future A nation, a world in tears united in grief and loss A tragedy so large the loss so pervasive the depth of emotions so great no words can truly convey the mood The sacrifice of so many lives from so many countries As we struggle to make some sense of the senseless and look to answer the question "Why?" Yet many others saved by acts of kindness from strangers and in the mission thwarted by last heroic acts of sacrifice and bravery The eagle like the mighty phoenix emerges from the ashes bruised, but not beaten stronger than ever Out of the rubble of destruction Seeds of hope Stories of courage Heroes emerge Our country unites To learn and to change so that it never happens again To keep the memories of the events and the people alive but to also keep living If not for ourselves for our way of life for our freedom for our children Kirsti Dyer
  11. Yes,thank you for the apology. I can see where you can misinterpret the way things are said. Since Im still researching and made plans awhile ago to shadow with Alcazar's pet store we can share back and forth. Also ask questions from here. Enjoy the forum.
  12. Woahh wait, Berna is just showing you the art of constructive criticism which is good. She's being realisitc. Sorry to say this raising kids is NOTHING like raising fids. I have two healthy boys one in Penn State the other electrician.I have a daycare which some good money and none of this has anything to do with raising fids.Everything is different. Its out of our instinct. Even feeding them is different.I didnt have to nurse my kids from my left their right because the way their esophagus is on their right side. All that is being said is do research before jumping into it. Don't just read you need to physically do it to. On this note. Good luck and have fun with it.
  13. Awww cute pics.Love the stages of when they are babies to grown up.I was blessed that the pet stores breeder takes pics for all their babies and gives them to customers.I love looking over Alcazar's baby pics. Thanx for sharing the pics.
  14. I started to use the oatmeal and mixed it with Gerber squash.Alcazar loves it. Hey btdaycare I take it you have a daycare? I do....
  15. She's right she' not being negative just being realistic.I researched like 5 years before wanting a parrot of my dreams and about to breed DYH Amazons and researched it for a year and still researching since breeding season will be in April, May. Do research even if it takes a year. Go to a local pet store watch how they do that.I watched and done Alcazar.
  16. Thorn is cool too.Its one of my soap opera guys.Thorn on the Bold And the beautiful

  18. Drakon which means dragon in Greek
  19. yes it depends on the words they want to learn.I would tell Alcazar Good morning everyday and Goodnight, I love you every evening before bed and he wont say it back.Started teaching him things of his food or water and he picks up those words just fine.I think the parrot just knows which words are the manipulators.haha

  21. Subject: 5 surgeons Five surgeons from big cities are discussing who makes the best patients to operate on. The first surgeon, from New York , says, 'I like to see accountants on my operating table because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered.' The second, from Chicago , responds, 'Yeah, but you should try electricians! Everything inside them is color coded.' The third surgeon, from Dallas , says, 'No, I really think librarians are the best, everything inside them is in alphabetical order' The fourth surgeon, from Los Angeles chimes in: 'You know, I like mechanics... Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over.' But the fifth surgeon, from Washington DC, shut them all up when he observed: 'You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains, and no spine. The head and the ass are interchangeable.
  22. When I brought Alcazar home he kept faliing off the perches and Tracy suggested lowering perches and putting towels down and newspaper on top of them.It worked hten 2 weeks later higher the perches more.
