That true Penny, they can't handle the carbonation. One of the earlier posts mentioned lettuce, there isn't much nutritional value in it therefore do not feed it.

Not out here in the sticks, we don't even have cable. The closest thing to a milkman was when I was a little kid we had a dairy farm and Daddy brought home a 3 gal tin of milk fresh from the cow.

You're right Penny, he probably won't want to come back. I have some cousins who years ago went there for vacation and loved it so much they went there to live. But things are expensive over there. Frank let us know what gas cost there a gallon.

I have one of those plastic storage units with 3 slide out drawers that I keep Josey's toys and such in. It sits close to the cage and makes it easy to exchange out toys. Josey's hatch date is May 25, she will be 1 year old next week.

Sometimes that baby food just does the trick. Did you feed it with a spoon? I give mine some baby food every day. I'm sure the inserting of a microchip made him a little sore, but before you know it he will be over it. My Josey took the vet visit in stride, she didn't act up too much and after we left it was like we had never been.

I have tried sprouts but have not quite got the hang of it yet. I feed Harrisons High Potency fine pellets, my vet said 60% or more of her diet should be the pellets with another 20% veggies and fruits and 20% of table foods. She likes the pellets but I notice she is grabbing a foot full out of her bowl and eating them from the foot instead of putting her head in the bowl and picking them up with her beak. She wastes some that way, I can hear them falling into the bottom of the cage.

You must never use any kind of lead and you do have to keep an eye on the cage as he uses it to make sure he doesn't chew his way out.

Josey is fond of any kind of bells, she likes to take the ringer out of them.

I like music too, I listen all day at work. My favorite is the oldies, they don't do music like that anymore.

Milkman, what is a milkman? I never had one as I live in the country and we don't have such things.

I don't care much for video games, but I like to read, mostly magazines now. I used to read novels, fiction, anything Steven King or the like. I like watching movies, I think I have seen most all of Steven Kings movies. The Alien and Predator movies are a favorite. I have all of them and watch each one from time to time. I like messing with houseplants and flowers. I have 3 orchids in bloom right now. I like to shop too.

I am ashamed to admit it but it is a daily routine with me and butter pecan is my favorite.

They say overheating is what creates the toxins, but to be on the safe side I wouldn't use any of it.

I miss that too, the dark eyes and so cute looking.

I can't even get mine to take a bath in a bowl. I have to get her wet in the sink, maybe one day she will learn to like it better.
