I haven't noticed whether Josey prefers a certain color. She is usually pretty accepting of most any new toy. Some she plays with right away and some she could care less about.

I only have 3 ceiling fans and one of them is high in a cathedral ceiling. She is clipped but when I have them on it is on the low speed.

My grey did not scream like that when I first got her. I have been spoon feeding her the first meal of the day for as long as I have had her. Must just be the different personality of the individual birds.

Its a personal preference whether to cover or not, I personally cover mine.

I just like the name Josey, like Josey Wales, the Clint Eastwood movie. I wanted a name that is not that common for a pet unlike the name I gave my sun conure. Her name is Sunny, real original, probably a lot of suns named that.

Three years old is probably the right time for the sexual maturity period. He wants to be your mate, Traci. I am not looking forward to that time period.

Not all greys will talk, but most do, mine is slow to talk. She will be 1 year old next week and does not say much but jibberish.

I second that Ambrosialyn, I was a memeber of another forum and they make rules that must be followed or you will be banned. I was a little hesitant at first when I came here but I love it here, and I am going to stay.

He'll get more brave as he builds confidence in his flying. He is young so therefore is somewhat clumsy. When he does a good job praise him lavishly they love it.

I have a treadmill and a stationary bike but they are collecting dust at the moment. I know I need to use them but I cannot get myself motivated to do it. I have always had a craving for ice cream and I just want it every night.

Why don't you try covering the cage at night, thats what I do and I don't hear any more out of her all night.

I have trouble getting mine to eat a lot of vegetables. She does like carrots and sweet potatoes.

How does she react to switching out toys?

At first glance it looks like a lot but not too much. Maybe you could spread them out more. Be sure to rotate toys from time to time so he does not get bored.

Sometimes she sounds like she is jibbering words and whole sentences but you can't understand what she says. Its like she is carrying on a conversation with herself.

I'll have to try that, I don't just repeat words to her to try to get her to say them but I will try that. She may just be a late bloomer.

I don't have much time in the mornings, I have to get ready for work. It's mostly the evenings I have time to get on the site.
