I'm sorry Tari that you cannot have children but at least you found an outlet for all that love, you do have sort of a zoo going. I have my CAG (Josey), a sun conure (Sunny), 2 cats (Smokey and Pretty Boy) and 2 yellow labs (Blondie and Macy), I have always had dogs and cats in my life, but the parrots are my passion now.

You are too funny, Tari, love the welcome sign. Josey will talk with me or hubby in the room but there are certain times she does this. But some greys won't talk around people, they have to leave the room to hear them say anything. I don't know why your grey is so quiet, as long as he is healthy then maybe that is just the way he is.

All is forgiven and forgotten, sometimes I read thru a post so fast that I don't catch everything it says. 1000 lashes with a wet noodle and I will be ok.:laugh:

You gotta love them, Josey has been doing some other kinds of bird calls since she spent a few days with someone who has a lot of different birds. I haven't heard her make those sounds before. At least she is not mimicing the call of the large cockatoo she had, ear splitting it was so loud.

You all are the greatest bunch of people I have been associated with in a long time and believe me I have been around a long time. Good friends like this don't just happen, you have to work hard for them. I hope I have helped some of you here, I am not an expert, but I am glad to share what I know and maybe it will be of some help to you. Some more of you are getting close to this mark and hope you will feel as priviledged as I do when you make it, CD and Talon for two, are on my heels. Josey makes a few chicken noises but the funniest thing is when she scratches like a chicken does, she mimics my kitchen timer and she does a pretty good imitation of my laugh.:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I have seen that blush too, Lidia, and Mirek is the one with the pink face in the photo in the thread that is so cute.

That would be a good decision too, KinNJ, and celery knows all about the vasa since he has one, and it is making some of us want one too, LOL. But don't let all that information intimidate you too much, take it with a grain of salt, my mama used to say.B)

Senior moments, now that is something I can relate to. You can read a lot into the emotions of a grey by observing the body stances and watching the eyes, the eyes say a lot. After a while you start to read what the bird is saying by paying attention to what that is saying.

CD is right also, as always, unless there is scar tissue the feathers will grow back and all will be ok. Keep us informed.
