Hello Jonathan and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your new baby grey. Your baby is very cute and adorable and I know you are excited about the day you can finally bring it home. Are you planning to have it DNA sexed before you name it? Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. I don't see a problem with having a grey and a parrotlet in the same room, they won't be sharing a cage but you may have to have them out at different times until you see how they react to one another. I have a sun conure and a grey and even though they don't get along, they do coexist in the same room out at the same time as long as I keep a little distance between them. Well at least now she has something to fall back on if that new at 4 months ago computer fails again. Hey she wasn't gone but a couple of days but it seemed like forever didn't it Toni, I know it did for me.

Thanks Berna for sharing that story with us again, I just don't remember it the first time around but at my age thats not too unusual:laugh: Just like with kids, greys can play rough and get a little boo boo, maybe a scratch or something, aloe plants are good to put on that or on our booboos too for that matter, if you have aloe plants then use them.

Hey, guess what I got my May issue of Bird Talk today in the mail and yes that is Harrison on the back inside page, "throwing my food dish to the floor sure is a lot harder" submitted by Heather Strella, California, yah we have a celebrity in the magazine. :P :P

That is so cute Claire, they do play together even though there is so much weight and size difference between them, you have them trained very well and I commend you for your dedication to them.

I hear ya, that is a lot of money to spend on dogs, but then love is not measured in dollars and cents and so for you it was worth it I'm sure. I wish they could live forever too for your sake but that is not going to happen so I hope you can keep them as long as possible. Thanks so much for sharing them with us and answering some questions about them, they are adorable in a way:P

Gosh 8 years is not long is it, wow what a short life span but you enjoy them while you have them. Yeah I would imagine they would drool more when excited and putting a towel in the collar is a good idea for quick clean up. Now when these are gone will you replace them with more just like them for you seem to love them very much?

I don't know whether I could take that drool, when I watched that Hanks movie that was a little disgusting to watch.:sick: But you obviously take very good care of all your dogs and I agree, chihuahuas don't listen at all do they, my daughter has one and he is a mess.

I thought those dogs looked familiar, yes I did see that movie Turner and Hooch, do they really slobber like that?:laugh: Yes I recognized the doberman and the chihuahuas but I wasn't sure about the other two, they are all nice and healthy looking, but you must go thru a lot of dog food, not for the two chihuahuas but the others can put away a lot of food. Now just what kind of dogs are all these and what are their names? I assume they all get along with each other from the photos it appears they do. I especially love the last one, that is so sweet of the two of them curled up on the sofa, thanks Claire for sharing them with us. BTW, I can also tell that one of them is a boy, heh heh!!:whistle: :laugh:

Oh wow I can't wait to get mine now and I keep all my issues too so I can go back and look thru them for something I may have missed and I like the centerfolds too, in fact one month it was a grey, very tastefully done in fact:laugh:

If you love birds then this is the magazine to get, it has lots of good articles and pictures and the subscription will save you lots of money if you are buying it anyway. There are always subscription cards in each issue so fill one out and send it in and you will automatically get it every month.

Oh I'm guilty of that too, I also read the daily newspaper back to front also, how funny is that. Miss Harrison is a star, Heather has posted lots of pics of her on this site, she is a beautiful grey, thats for sure. now everyone knows:cheer: :cheer:

I haven't received the May issue yet, and yes that is our Harrison, well what do you know about that, Heather got her grey in the magazine, I wonder how many are sent in for the chance to be published in their magazine. I can't wait to get mine now and see it, I think I am always a little later that others to get the next issue for some reason, I live out in the country so maybe they think I don't keep up with the times. Thanks Sandra for alerting us to this, I would have found it on my own when I got the magazine but now when I do get it that will be the first thing I look for, karma for you Sandra:P
