Thanks everyone who posted about this thread not being political, it wasn't meant to be but some would like to make a statement with it. This is in the off topic room and as such it does not have anything to do with birds but then that is why I put it here. Even if you don't live in the USA a lot of people worldwide do care and are curious about what happens here. If you don't like the thread no one is forcing you to read it, go on to another one, in fact feel free to go to another forum if you don't like the way things are here.

I am so sorry to hear of this Yvette, losing your mom is one of the hardest things to go thru but at least you got to see her and say goodbye. I will continue to keep you and your fiance in my thoughts and prayers and that you can return to us here very soon, we miss you very much.

This is a great thread Janet and it is amazing how we can spend so much money on store bought toys that they may not even play with but will entertain themselves with something we otherwise would have thrown away. I have found many ideas for cheap toys, the best kind, in this forum, some in this thread so thanks for sharing the ideas with us all.

That looks like a great toy, Nora, I have seen toys made with straws before and I am sure your grey will love it, thanks for sharing it with us.

Marie, I can't wait to see some pictures of George but do offer to allow him to come on out if he so wishes, just open his door and see if he will venture out to explore a little. Good luck with him and glad he is home safe and sound.

There are too many to list, really all you need to do is google bird toys or bird food and take your pick from what comes up, I have bought from many different sites and it just depends on what kind of toys and foods you are looking for. A better idea is check out the threads we have here for DIY toys made from common things in the home, you can put toys in the search box and find them.

Love those pics of Maxi with her pumpkin, she sure was enjoying that thing, thanks for sharing them with us. Shelia, you need to read the section in FAQ on posting pics and you better do it soon, I am getting impatient waiting for you to post some.:whistle: :lol:

Sassy is really enjoying that shower, wish Josey would do that in the shower, she just stands there and takes it, thanks for sharing that with us Trever.

DJ you are gonna have to work with Skittles on a daily basis if you want to be able to handle him and him learn to trust you. I know you are going thru a rough time right now but if you can spend some time every day with Skittles he and you will be so much better for it. I hope things sort themselves out for you so Skittles can have his buddy with him every day.

Its hard to tell what he will pick up and he will probably surprise you with it. Give this little stinker some time and yes you will have quite a monkey on your hands but an adorable one.

Wow what a nice cage, no wonder Rikki is quite happy this morning and Talon may be a little jealous of her new cage, better fork over for a new bigger one for her too. She deserves a bigger cage since she has to sleep in it while Talon gets to go spend the night in the room with you, you could have just got her a sleep cage and then she could join you two for the night. In any case, thanks for sharing the pics of the new "mansion" with us.

So you have a real sweetie in Charlie, most of us do, they are amazing birds aren't they, they have their moments too but overall they are so adorable. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Charlie you would share with us we would love to see him.

I do like them, Sparky and Jesse are good looking greys, you can also post them directly in a post too if you like, more people would see them that way, thanks for sharing them with us.

Oh boy Marie the day is finally here and I think George will do just fine so don't stress out about it, just relax and it will go smooth as silk. Can't wait to find out how it goes and see some pictures upon returning home, I am so happy for you.

Cracker was being more of a pain in the a** because he felt more superior since he could fly most anywhere he wanted, you have him clipped now which brought him down to being a little more dependent on you and hence his attitude changed for the better, bet he stays clipped from now on. Glad to hear you found a solution to the problem and it has worked out for the best for all of you, karma to you for solving your own problem.:cheer: :cheer:

Oh yeah pasta is a favorite of mine too Brett but as you let him have some off your plate keep in mind the things that are forbidden foods. We have some threads here in the bird food room of those you cannot feed to your grey.
